  • Great Protection and Comfortable
Size: Medium Color: Black
I tried both the large and medium to get the proper fit. POC's site fitting guide suggested the large but it just didn't feel like it would stay on in the event of a fall, it was loose fitting so I kept the medium and send back the large. The quality of the materials is top notch and the POC logo is prominent. The padded material is 1/4 inch thick and fairly stiff at first before warming up on the knee, the protection extends to the side of knee protecting the medial and anterior meniscus a bit, which after two surgeries this year I wanted more protection at the inside of the knee. The VDP material hardens on impact and absorbs a large amount of energy according to POC. These are probably best suited for single track riding for a moderate fall of the bike, any protection is better than none. Doing crazy descents? I would opt for the thicker hard shelled models. I'm combining these with some G-Form Shin (similar tech) pad and they work together great. I have only a couple of short rides with them but they were comfortable and as with anything new it will take some getting used to. I was using McDavid Hex knee pads before these but they lack the impact protection of the POC's, although they are light enough to throw in the pack and if needed can go over the POC's to add some protection if the situation requires it. These would also be great for hunters or any activities that require you to kneel for short periods of time on those aging knees. ... show more

  • Saved my knees
Size: XLG Color: Epidote Green
Fell twice on of them directly on my knees. Nothing not even a scratch. So they really work. I do have to pull them once after a long rides. But they are very comfortable even in hot weather were I just don’t feel them on the entire ride. Great knee pads do recommend them.

  • Comfortable knee pad
Size: Large Color: Uranium Black
My thigh is 17" in diameter 4" above the knee, and 14.5" in diameter 4" below the knee, and the Large fits me well. Once they heat up though, they start to feel a bit too big, so I wish I went with the mediums. I bought both sizes, and the mediums felt too tight which is why I sent them back. The way these pads are, they should feel too tight at first, because they become softer as they heat up. ... show more

  • Pedal freindly, lightweight knee pads
Size: Medium Color: Black
These knee pads are lightweight and pedal friendly, so I'm able to ride for hours without them causing any significant issues or sliding down. I haven't crashed in them so I can't speak to the impact protection, but they seem decent for the weight. I have one main complaint though- they don't go far enough above the knee. They only go maybe 1-2 inches, and the rubber that keeps them from sliding down (it works well) is only in the front, so the BACK, right where the (relatively) rough stitching in the material is, has a tendency to start sliding down right into the back of the knee where it grinds the skin up. This isn't a huge issue, but it's something that some extra rubber would have easily fixed. Something to note- don't be surprised at how bad they feel at first. These are shaped for RIDING, not walking, and when standing up they kind bunch up and stick out a bit and feel pretty bad. With the knees bent, they feel pretty good though. Make sure to follow their sizing guide. I'm normally an XL or even XXL in a lot of clothing items, so I was super surprised that I wear a MEDIUM in these. I was kinda on the edge of medium and large on their chart, and I'm glad I sized down because it isn't too tight and much looser, it would be falling down. ... show more

  • Price of pads < Price of doctor bill
Size: Medium Color: Black
Love these pads. I bought them for abrasion protection, but they do offer some impact protection. Obviously wearing them in the heat of the summer is hotter than not wearing pads at all, but they do breathe very well. Been wearing them for a month, riding 40-50mi per week avg, and I've gotten so used to wearing them, they're just another piece of gear I put on before each ride. My motivation for padding up was seeing the aftermath of a riding buddy go down and tear his arm up resulting in 5 internal stitches and 11 external stitches. Some pads would have prevented that doctor visit. Breathability is great. The side opposite the pad is a full sleeve (instead of straps above/below the joint), but the material flexes very nicely and does not bunch up. The only time they slip is when they get really sweaty. And even then the slippage is minor, and only occurs over really rough terrain. The neoprene grippers inside hold well against the skin. Cinch straps help keep in place. Nice range of movement. **I also bought the matching elbow pads. Rating and review are the same.** ... show more

  • Harder Than a Kneecap
Size: Medium Color: Black
These kneepads are rock solid on the front. But with nice material on the back that enables the user to have full range of motion while wearing. I wear these while parachuting, and occasionally land in wet conditions (including a river). These don't impact swimming, walking, or even some rock scrambling. If you're looking for kneepads that can keep up with intense activities, these are the ones to get. Make sure to check the size chart, as they can be cinched down slightly via the Velcro strap. They can't really be loosened. They haven't stretched out on me, though, and are not so hard that it feels weird straightening my legs. Ultimately, I'd suggest these kneepads to anyone. Plus, they come in some pretty rad colors, and who doesn't like that? ... show more

  • Not noticable
Size: Large Color: Uranium Black
Bought these to replace my falling apart O'Neil light pads (I also recommend), used them a couple times on small 10 mile rides and for an 24hr Enduro race. Didn't notice them at all. They stayed up, we're comfortable, and gave me good peace of mind. I haven't taken any spills thankfully. Certainly not for big air riding but criss country to decent mountain biking I totally recommend! Sizing was true to fit. I don't think of myself having large legs for a girl but compared to guys little leggies I guess I'd agree that I have large legs. For sure measure your legs. ... show more

  • Bought a second pair - Amazing
Size: Medium Color: Black
I bought my first pair a few years ago and because I love the fit and design I bought another pair just in case. The pads hold up well and they are very comfortable. These knee pads don't restrict the knees when riding. The pads don't pinch like others. I had numerous falls and the pads prevented me from having major knee injuries. Love, Love, Love them. ... show more
