For cheap "plastic-y" vinyls it'd probably be great, or on sonething not so fragile with heat, but on expensive wicking epicool work shirts and the 2nd most ecoensive vinyls custom made for chemical exposure,diesel, etc. It lacks the girth/pressures required (69psi) and risks burning the material. I found using the nice rubber backing pad, the included transfer sheets and copper grill mats were my best results, ypu REALLYYYY need to lean on this thing and 325 for 15-20seconds isn't going to do it. Averaged about 10 minutes a shirt which was exhausting. BUT , inexpensive vinyls or thinner at least, and a beach bag, thicker cotton or canvas crafting etc. I think it would he STELLAR!!! In fact, I KNOW it would, the handle is strong enough but spread weight out over the entire body, it could crack. Looks nice, heats quickly, comes with a cooling rack and oad. Overall GREAT starte/craft press. Not great for Quantity as it will take forever and longer to learn and then follow thru and get repeatable results. I ended up setting it to 380° on a 280 second timer, vibrate on full (3) and moving it several several several several several times, reposition the copper mats and vinyl sheets to get a good meld and adhesion to my standard. I didn’t want to spend a lot on a press because I already have a large table top one. This press was in my budget so I decided to try it out with very little reviews. The press has so far exceeded my expectations. It’s gets very hot and does the job in less that 20 second. I love that its portable so I am not stuck in my craft room pressing shirts. The size is a little bulky but that does not bother me. If you are looking for a friendly budget press, this one will do the job just fine. ... show more

So a little background I have the Cricut EasyPress 2 in the 9x9 size and a few months ago I discovered how easy it was to screen print at home and you don't have to invest in very much to do it. Now I want to screen print on everything I own! This little purple wonder of a press it's as good as the Cricut brand press I already have or better and it's an inch bigger all around. The price is already better and they often seem to have a coupon available to use. I've been traveling a ton for work right now and haven't had much time to test this like I wanted to because I really wanted to put this purple wonder through some abuse but alas, I was only able to give it some standard usage and light testing. Out of the box it's well packaged, had the expected safety tray for holding it while it's heating up or cooling down, and comes with an unexpected bonus of a heat safe pad unlike my other press where I had to buy one separately. This heats very evenly and consistently. I used an infrared heat gun to measure the temp across the surface of the plate. I couldn't figure out how juggle the heat press, the temp gun, and my camera to take a pic to show y'all without hurting myself but trust me when I say the reading on the top of the machine is good to within a degree of what I was seeing the heat gun read on the plate. The controls are easy to use and for me comfortably within reach of my thumb when I reach to pick it up and the digital readout is facing me, not that I'm making much in the way of changes once I have it on the shirt or bag I'm setting. The cord tucks nicely into the handle section for storage as you can see in the pics I’ve added in case that’s something that bothers you. Wrangling cables is always an issue for me. It’s not a super long cord but my setup doesn’t require me to need an 8 foot long power cable. I've not branched out beyond using this on all cotton shirts for silk screening but so far, I couldn't be happier! Before this due to the high price of heat presses in general I wasn't willing to buy from a brand I didn't know but now I rethinking that and I may need to stop letting the Cricut brand dominate my buying market and try new things. ... show more

This little heat press works really well! If you want something that heats up quickly and is easy to use, this is a great choice. It heats quickly and evenly, and easy to follow instructions. I'm not sure how it will hold up at mass production, but so far it's been great. I haven't ran into any issues. It presses well, doesn't take much pressure, keep in mind, the quality/material the products that you are working with play a big part in your results. Instructions are easy to follow. This is more of a hobby machine than professional but it works well enough that I'm happy with it. I'm just pressing ridiculous phrases into shirts with it and loving it and the reactions so far. For my needs this press is more than enough but a friend said better quality prints require a machine that gets hotter and has some weight to it. ... show more
