This rod and reel (8.86ft) is front heavy with the balance point about 8 inches in front of the reel. I found it very tiring to hold. It needs a butt-end weight to balance properly. Otherwise, the quality is good. Is a butt weight available?

Went salmon fishing. Salmon were running. Had 3 on line. One fought for 15 mins and gotvoff line. Caught one. I was suprised the pole didnt break.

It's compact, light weight and easy to pack in my luggage as I travel. I have used the setup three times and it seem to be holding up. It has been with me on 4 trips now and made ot through TSA checking my luggage alone with handlers. No signs of damage yet.
