I'm not a plumber, but I am the family handyman, and as such have replaced many a faucet in bathrooms and kitchens, and washers and pipes, and laying under a sink in a bathroom twisting on various plumbing parts is not something I like to spend a lot of time on, so when I saw this Techni Edge Brand, Dual Kwik Tite Wrench on Amazon and figured if it only saved me a minute's time under the next sink, it would be worth it. It works kind of like a dedicated pipe wrench, tightening on the part when pressure is applied one way, and ratchets loose when applied the other way. So, it acts like a box end wrench, holding fast in one direction, but opens as bit and ratchets around the fitting to reset the wrench. Use it one way to remove parts, flip it over the short way to install the parts. It is limited to 5/8-inch, and 15/16-inch, which is the standard for modern under-the-sink valve connections here in the U.S.A. Hopefully they have a metric version for those in the old country. The tool is clever and well made, and will last several lifetimes if cared for with a minimum of effort. ... show more

I won't touch an angle stop unless I absolutely have to, because I touched one once and it cost me a lot of time and money. This review is only for folks who haVe to touch angle stops. These are nice tools that work well. I really like the supply line wrench - it helps to focus the leverage your using to remove the angle stop. The angle stop is connected to other plumbing inside the wall - the supply line wrench helps me keep the angle stop spinning straight off the pipe without putting any unnecessary pressure on, who knows what kind of shoddy, plumbing that could be inside that wall. The adjustable locking closed end wrench that goes around the body of the stop can be released by reversing it – as if it were a ratchet. Still it doesn't open all the way and can be annoying when you're pretending to be a contortionist underneath a kitchen sink. That's okay by me though, because that same locking action allows me to hook it on an angle stop that was sweated onto copper, heat up the joint with my torch, and remove the stop more efficiently than I can do it with channel grips. The first order I received was an empty Amazon bubble envelope, the tool must have slipped off, Amazon as good at sending a replacement, it came in the same type envelope, the packaging was not appropriate for a heavy tool so I recommend Amazon changes the way they ship such tools I got to use this tool on replacing a supply line hose for my toilet which was a very tight spot and absolutely needed to use such tool, it worked as intended, easy to use, a little heavy because of the solid metal it uses, a very handy tool for anybody to have ... show more

While not a must have tool, if you are doing any work on faucets and shutoff valves, you can't go wrong adding this tool to your tool box. It makes a simple task of removing or tightening the nut on the shutoff valve In tight spaces, it's works great, unlike a crescent wrench, it's set to the correct size and works like a ratchet. This tool appears to be new on the market. I found it really useful. Rather than an adjustable wrench, which is difficult to use in cramped spaces, this wrench cups completely around the compression nut and holds position even if you let go. you can turn the wrench just a little if you are in a cramped space and then turn the wrench backwards and it will ratchet just like a ratcheting socket wrench. To move the nut in the opposite direction, you have to remove the wrench and flip it over, whereupon it will ratchet in the other direction. Easy to apply, easy to use, and easy to remove. Very handy. The finish on the stamped metal handle halves was a bit rough in a couple of places and could have use a bit more deburring, but the edges were not sharp enough to cause injury. Like another reviewer said, I too only received the angle stop wrench, not the angle on wrench depicted. That said, it seems solid and well built. I have fortunately not had to use it yet, but handy to keep in the toolbox.

Received the open end/ratchet box end wrench which has a knuckle at the box end of the wrench. The wrench has a very nice finish and is very nice to look at. The nice finish makes it very easy to clean after use. The ratchet is a one way hence in & out is accomplished by turning the wrench over. The size and In/out nomenclature is well stamped and very readable on the wrench. My only issue is I wish the wrench had a longer shaft, I would like a to have more torque available.
