where have you been all my life?? this is amazing. it holds your device in a comfortable position when you're sitting or lounging. there are no supports all over the place, no articulating arms, no giant pillows,...just you and your device. at first, I didn't necessarily like that the strap is sort of one-size-fits-most. ...but there's an extender piece in the box, too!! it becomes one-size-fits-almost-anybody-in-the-world. I've used it on the right and left side. you have to invert it so the strap terminates on the inside of your leg. it's not a big deal, but it's worth mentioning. overall, thing weird-looking thing will be in my life forever now. you need it. you really do. hope that helps!

I've only used it once so far but I see it coming in handy on long trips or waits at places like DMV. I tried using it at home and it felt a little impractical there with all the devices and entertainment I have there. I think it should be a little more inexpensive, since it's basically just a tablet holder w a strap. It does feel well built and it holds the devices quite stablenin there. I think it definitely has its uses.

Okay, I feel incredibly guilty and lazy for having this, but I am not a pilot and got this so that I could use it to hold my Kindle while curled up comfortably on a couch or comfy chair for long stints of reading. I've been able to find a perfect position that allows me to read comfortably without holding the Kindle, which sometimes makes my hand or wrist get sore. I have also discovered that when I'm doing research and writing, I can use this to hold my iPad or Kindle Fire tablet on my leg without using up any precious desk space or without it falling because I'm typing and not holding it. It's been a good addition to my reading and writing tool box. As for the item itself, it fits my thigh even though I would be categorized as plus sized and whatever device I'm using fits securely. I'm pleased with this, though still feeling a little guilty, since it's intended for pilots.

Theoretically, it does what it describes. However, I find that it's a bit clunky, the strap is a little odd to use (the connected strap is too small for a thigh and it comes with some sort of extender, but no instructions on how to use it), and the angles that you can set your device to are a little restrictive. I bought this with hopes to be able to use it while reading on my Kindle. But, after strapping it up, I either need to read at an odd angle (with my head tipped down toward my lap) OR with my leg bent and elevated, which isn't comfortable after a little while. I wanted to much more from this holder. I know that it will work well for some - especially if you're using a bigger device like a tablet. However, it just doesn't make sense to use with a phone or Kindle. Maybe if I had a chair with an arm that I could strap this around . . . . ? Otherwise, I think I'll just keep with my gooseneck for hands free reading.
