I like the fact that it isn't 30 or $40 like the other ones and I like the fact that it came in like two or three days! I do kind of wish the Vida sat down in it more? It seems like these were designed for something else and then repurposed as Vita cases which they work so it's good enough I guess...

If you want to store it how it was designed (with the Vita under the little straps so if you somehow open it upside down it won’t just fall out), then it’s a TIGHT fit. Uncomfortably tight. The bottom of the case just squeezes the life out of it and I don’t feel particularly comfortable having that much pressure against the bumpers and power/volume buttons. Now… setting it on top of those straps it doesn’t fit too bad. It closes just fine, with a little screen protector flap going over it. For the price it does its job. The tight fit trying to store it with it under the straps is more so a nitpick, but still going to dock a point because why even have that if you can’t use it. Maybe the 1000 series is a touch smaller around the edges? TL:DR - It’s good enough for what it is

This case is very lightweight but still protective. It was exactly what I needed for my Vita to keep the screen safe. I also like the pocket inside and the carbine clip it came with. happy i bought

Looks great, though the case is slightly too small for the Vita 2000. The Vita is unnecessarily difficult to get in and out under the two tight straps, and the case tends to press the power button. It should be just a few millimeters taller to avoid this. After a couple of days I've played around with the case a bit and found that the power button is less likely to be pressed when the Vita is put in upside down (so that the button is up against the outer edge inside of the center hinge). I also have to make sure not to press the Vita down into the case before zipping it up. And the power button is less likely to be pressed when the Vita is laid on TOP of the two security straps instead of actually using them. The straps help to prop it up a bit so the button doesn't get pressed. This is obviously less secure, but since I don't have a child using the case I'm happy to not use the straps (which are themselves frustrating). So I'll keep the case for now and see if I end up with a dead battery, and up my review from one to three stars. Obviously the customer shouldn't have to hack a case to get it to work as intended.

Most Vita cases looked like they'd get the job done about equally well. They're pretty much all the same plain hard cases with little straps inside to keep the Vita from getting bumped around. This one doesn't doesn't have any branding on the outside except the "PS Vita" logo though, which makes it look a lot better than other similar cases. It kind of makes it look like an official accessory.
