I've had this remote for about 3-4 months now and I've had 0 issues with it. Has a long battery life, mine lasts about 7-8 hours (total usage not all in one sitting) without needing to charge and it charges pretty quickly considering how long the battery life lasts. I've even dropped it about two times by accident about a foot off the ground and I haven't seen any drift or any delayed button inputs. Definitely worth the $60 in my opinion at least.

Initially my son called me in a panic because he had left his new controller charging on the docking station all day and tried using it to play and it would not turn on for him. We try to hard reset of the controller and check to make sure that the devices software was up to date on the PS5 with his controller and that was all good. So what to do? Still wasn't working. So you have to have a usb-c to usb-c to plug it from the controller to the actual PS5 in order to sync it. It did not come with this cable and so we were able to figure that out and it synced automatically when we did that. So hopefully you have a USB-C to USB-C at home because it doesn't come with the controller. Otherwise you'll have to buy one.

There's a part of me that balks at shelling out $60-70 dollars for a controller. I'm old school where I think a system should come with two, but those days are long gone. I bought this to hook up to my Steam Deck. I had a PS5 controller that I used to make sure it worked, but it's a pain to have to keep pairing it with a different device each time, so I got a dedicated controller. The quality is good on these. You can use them for a long time before needing to replace them. I knew what I was getting and this model didn't deviate from that at all. It was easy to connect and works just how I was hoping it would. If I'm going to fork over that kind of cash then I'd like to know that the product is a quality product, and in the case of the official PS5 controllers, it always is.
