I got this for our currently fairy mad daughters (age 4) and it was an instant hit. Before I had it out of the box they'd already named the fairies and were planning adventures. But be warned there are a lot of tiny parts and a lot of assembling to do, which is much harder with toddlers climbing over you and rifling through every bag and piece. I would strongly recommend opening and assembling this before you give it, it will make life a lot easier! It's well built, has some imaginative pieces and all fits into a 6"x6" box. The small parts and unnecessarily complicated assembly are the only strikes against this. Another wonderful Playmobil set for kids who love fairies, unicorns, and lots of musical instruments. Both my 6-year-old and my 2-year-old love to play with this, especially putting the flowers together, and using the musical instruments. I got this for my daughter who is currently 3 and begs for whatever her brother (5) gets, putting it together was a little challenging but well worth the effort as both of my kids love having a "world" for their guys and fairies to play. Overall it took about 10 mins to assemble and we havent had any problems since. The kids play pretty rough with their toys but this has held up to even a fall down the stairs. ... show more

We have the Fairy Garden and the Pony Stable. They are both awesome. I love that they have their own carrying cases. My 7 year old helped me put them together and both she and the 4 year old like to play. They are perfect for on-the-go play. They have been going to church with us. I already knew my five year old would love this. She loves fairies and she loves Playmobil. She plays so well by herself with her most of her toys and especially with Playmobil. Very cute toy for a fairy loving child. Case closes up for easy storage/transport. My one issue is that there are MANY small pieces that have to be assembled and do not stay together well (fairy wings fall off easily, leaf chairs/table don’t hold together well) Still provides hours of fun, but not the best for ease or durability. ... show more

My 2.7 year old did like this. The unicorn is a bit sad compared to the Breyer ones in second picture. The horn is flexible rubbery material, which is weird. There are two fairies they are very different sizes, a bit bland for fairies. There are several accessories as pictured that is the best part of this kit. Not worth 16$, would think more like 10$ or less in my opinion. I would not give this as a gift since the figurines are awkward. ... show more
