I put this shaft on my Purex HXTE5 and immediate criticism is that where the shaft meets the butt there is a small bump. The 2 diameters are not exactly the same diameter. I don’t think it matters because the joint of the cue never passes through your bridge hand when shooting. Just a little disappointing that it’s not perfect. The other complaint is that the tip (Says it’s supposed to be a Kamui Black Soft tip) is making marks on the cloth of the table anywhere it rubs. The original shaft which is supposed to have the same tip doesn’t make marks. I don’t want to think about the tip touching the cloth when I’m shooting. The end of the stroke of a draw shot usually rubs the table. I took a micro fiber cloth very slightly dampened with 90% alcohol and did a scrub on the tip until the black from the tip was faint on the towel. Attached is a picture showing how much came off on the towel. I then tried washing the towel and the stain seems to be permanent. So not happy how it will mark up your expensive Simonis cloth. On the positive side, after practicing for a few hours the new shaft shoots well and I like the feel and feedback. ... show more

Love this LD shaft! Great shaft without Predator REVO or OB price! 11.75 tip gives alot of action without over compensation of english. Once you prep the shaft and tip, this shaft is smooth as butter and a real performer. If you never played a LD shaft, I recommend getting in some practice using the shaft. You won't be disappointed!
