  • Excellent Solution for Extending USB 2.0 over Long Distances
Color: USB Extender (U2EX50)
This USB extension solution is perfect for my application. Using two sets of these and have had no issues. I use these at my church to run USB from my stage location back to the equipment rack where we have a PlayAudio 12 set up. I am using a 25-foot Ethernet cable to span the distance. Using one set to send multi-track audio over USB from a computer to the PlayAudio 12. The second set is used to connect a keyboard midi controller to the PlayAudio 12. If you are connecting multiple or high-current draw USB devices, be aware of the power budget for the devices. According to the spec, it will power up to two USB devices requiring 500mA each. But the power supply is only rated at 1A (1000mA) so this spec may not be entirely accurate. I am powering an Arturia Keylab 61 with no problem. Definitely give these a try if you need USB 2.0 (or 1.1) over a long distance. ... show more

  • Intermittent stuck key makes this device unworkable
Color: KVM Switch for Dual Monitors
I changed my rating (from 1 star) and my review (quite negative) because I had originally been very frustrated with a stuck key situation (see "Original review", below), but I have since found a workaround. The workaround is to NOT use the keyboard-specific USB port on the front of the device, but rather use one of the other USB ports. It's been over 24 hours since I switched, and the stuck key problem has not reoccurred. I therefore gave it 4 out of 5 stars, because it is performing well but the keyboad-dedicated USB port should not be failing so miserably. Original review: I loved it for a few weeks, but now it intermittently (i.e., multiple times a day) gets a stuck key. In fact, it just did it now on the "u" in "stuck" in the previous sentences. Seems to have something to do with the "s" key. When the unpleasantness occurs, the "s" key suddenly fails to output, then 2 keys later, that 2nd key gets stuck, as if you're keeping your finger on that key. The only way to stop it is to turn off the KVM and then turn it back on. I've tried 2 different keyboards, both of which work fine when directly plugged into my computers. And it happens on both computers that are connected to it. Ironically (no doubt related to the bug), the only key that does not repeat (as you'd expect) when you deliberately hold it down is the "s" key. Must be a bug in the firmware of the KVM. There's a port on the back labelled "update", but I can't find anything on their website about updates of any kind. I called support, but all I got was doctor's office music for about 5 minutes, no announcement of any kind, so not sure if it's real or not. ... show more

  • No HDMI cables included.
Color: KVM Switch for Dual Monitors
For the price, I was shocked to find there were no HDMI cables included. Luckily, I found some at home as extras from other products, so I was glad I didn't have to go out a buy some to try out this switch. So far it works well. It has all the ports I need which was lacking in other products I looked at. The instructions, although in English, didn't make sense to me. I had to put it together via the tiny, tiny picture. ... show more

  • VERY happy with this product.
Color: KVM Switch for Dual Monitors
I've never used a KVM before, but needed one in order to accommodate a second laptop that I use for work. I have 3 computers that share an ultawide 2k monitor on limited desk space. My desktop PC plugs directly into the monitor via displayport. I have 2 MacBook pros that leverage this KVM via HDMI. It works flawlessly and switches smoothly. Both laptops have no problem with the ultrawide and the KVM has no issues delivering 100Hz refresh rate on the monitor. I highly recommend. ... show more

  • Works perfectly as advertised.
Color: KVM Switch for Dual Monitors
No issues. This is the KVM Iโ€™ve been looking for the last 3 years. No problems when switching. No problems with USB support. Good video quality. No heat. Supports wireless USB devices. Doesnโ€™t move icons. Not too expensive. Built solid. If you want to switch dual monitors, keyboard, mouse, and other devices between your work and personal laptop at home, this is a great KVM switch. ... show more

  • Plug & Play
Color: KVM Switch for Dual Monitors
I bought this KVM switch after going through a troubleshooting nightmare with another switch. I have a pc and a mac hooked up to 2 monitors. I use a single usb hub in the 1.5a slot with my keyboard, mouse, mic and camera. I also have my speakers attached. As others have said, make sure to set your audio output to the KVM switch. Other than that there was no additional setup. Everything worked as expected. Switching is fast and smooth. I am able to get the higher 144hz refresh rate on my 1080 monitor. This was a hard requirement for me that many switches either don't offer or don't specify clearly. My only criticism is that there is not a remote for switching. I am not interested in using hotkeys and would like to hide this box under my desk. Otherwise this is a great product and I would recommend it over the "premium" ckl switches. ... show more

  • Great for remote telescope control
Color: USB Extender (U2EX50)
During the winter months it is no fun to sit outside at your telescope while imaging for hours. I wanted to have a way to control my telescope, focuser, and imaging camera inside the house which is 50 feet away from where I set up my telescope outside. This worked great!!! I have one box mounted at the telescope and plug in the USB for telescope/focuser control and the USB for my camera. I run the 50 foot ethernet cable to the other box inside and then connect the USB cable to my computer. Started up my software (SharpCap) and the telescope, focuser, and camera all connected perfectly. I used this a couple of nights so far with temperatures in the 20's and did some imaging for a few hours with no issues at all. This works more reliably for me to have a wired connection over 50 feet versus a wifi connection that was not as reliable. ... show more

  • This works great and it has helped to reduce the clutter on my desk.
Color: KVM Switch for Dual Monitors
I recently decided to reduce the number of external monitors in my home office from 5 to 2. This allowed me to remove one of the desks in my office so I could use the space for other things. The surface space on the remaining desk quickly became an unusable clutter. This KVM has been the biggest factor in reducing the clutter. The hotkey to switch between machines is very useful and I like the idea that it can be changed or avoided all together if I run into a circumstance where that is required. The USB ports also allow me to share peripherals that were previously only available to one system at a time. ... show more
