The power supply I received was slightly different than the one pictured, which wouldn’t have been a big deal but it would not output any voltage to the motor at all after plugging in everything that was needed.

I purchased this power supply to power the typical Pro3018CNC upgrade 500W motor. Testing it prior to use, I discovered that the 'motor' terminals output a steady 163VDC no matter whether controlling it with a potentiometer or 0-10VDC. Additionally, the tiny instruction leaflet provides nearly no information about the device's indicator lights or voltage adjustments. I understand the risks of using this kind of equipment, but I had hoped for better in 2021. So much effort is put into design obfuscation (cloaking parts in black resin and opaque boxes, scuffing off component designators), that repair and troubleshooting is made impossible.
