I just bought my third one of these. I don't use them as tackle boxes (even though I do fish), but I find them perfect for specialty tool kits, like bicycle maintenance tools and parts. I bought this to hold my garden irrigation drippers, connectors and tools. Some of the pieces are tiny and I needed something to both organize them and keep me from losing them. The compartments are large enough to accommodate both 1/4 and 1/2 hose fittings, with space in the bottom for stakes, staples, and extra connectors. The items I store are not heavy so it tipped when open, but I figured out that if I leave the top handle up it will keep the lid perched up. Durability: it’s made of plastic and I can see where using it often might be an issue. The trays like to slide a bit when closing, so I wouldn’t recommend it for heavy use. Overall a good buy for my needs since it will be in a shed most of the time. I didn’t need the spacers that are provided to split the compartments and they do not sit flush against the bottom like others have mentioned. ... show more

It hold a lot of spools of thread, scissors, needle and needle cases, quilting markers, etc., I was surprised at how much it holds.
