This looks and feels like a thousand dollar bed. The assembly is a little tricky with the headboard but patience is key. No trick to assembly but just doing it. I wouldn't jump on the bed due to the small legs in the center which can potentially lead to uneven pressure and break points. I did bolster the center beam with cinder blocks just in case. This is a great bed, we slept in it last night and it was wonderful, it goes beautifully with the white furniture we have. However, there were a couple cracks in the wood, and assembly left a little to be desired. The assembly wasn’t quite thorough enough so I ended up having to flip around a few pieces that I put on backwards because the picture wasn’t clear. Then with the slats that go under the mattress, the picture showed you making sure it was flush, but in reality, they didn’t quite fit length wise and there were some gaps; though I still think it’s sturdy enough. Also, not every part that you needed to hand screw was pre drilled, and it was too difficult to hand screw straight into the wood, so thankfully I had my own drill so I could make some holes into the wood first. If they had just done that extra step of a few pre drilled holes, I could’ve done the entire bed by hand. It was easy enough that I (30yr/f) put the bed together solo. The cracks are on the footboard, which not only was cracked but also slight bowed. It’s the only piece that isn’t real wood, so I get it, but I wish it wasn’t there. It still all fit together, and no one will notice it, but I know it’s there. ... show more

ASSEMBLY ADVICE: Get a bottle of wood glue (4oz is plenty) and use it during assembly for the head and footboard assembly (both ends). Using it on the headend slats means that they don't clack around or make a noise as they are otherwise loose in their slots. Using it on every other joint & groove where you find 'bare wood' just makes it all extra sturdy. Don't use too much glue otherwise it will ooze out or drip, but you can wipe it off. Some people have said they found it didn't quite go together right or they had to modify but mine was perfect. This goes together really easily but do follow the instructions. I bought several so the first one took longer - the main thing is to ensure that everything goes the right way up and the right way round as several parts could go either way and you don't want to take it apart and flip it once you realise - and you can't if you've glued!. In particular, ensure that the central support bar is horizontal and right under the base slats. If it's at an angle, you've got the footboard piece upside down. Note: This appears to be the same as another product under a different brand. I'd bought that one previously but it was out of stock so I bought this one instead and all parts seems to be identical. This bed frame is not only mega cute, it’s pretty easy to assemble aside from the mislabeled numbers on items “09” and “10”. It should also be noted that there aren’t any pre drilled holes for the pieces that require screws to be drilled into solid wood. This was a bit of a surprise but as long as you have the right drill bits it takes maybe 1-2 hours to complete in total. It says team build (I found this only necessary when it came to putting the actual frame together (the last half of instructions) and it came together quickly. FINAL UPDATE. 5 months in and the bed is broken beyond repair. I even bought better legs to support the middle. This thing was JUNK! Not real wood. Poor quality. Update: as stated below, we’ve got 450lbs on this bed. The weight limit is listed as 1,000lbs. No way in hell this would hold 1000lbs. We anticipate falling though it any day now and are very careful getting on and off! There are 3 legs for additional support that run down the middle. 2 months in and they are all leaning terribly and won’t stay upright after several adjustments! This causes the middle to sag, and we roll to the middle of the bed. Very uncomfortable. Also, the slats are too far apart so the mattress bulges between them (on the underside). Do not buy this. Repeat: do not buy! Double check measurements. The headboard is a little on the short side. I have a 14 inch hybrid mattress and once you add pillows, the headboard is not visible. Wish it was. Other than that, decent bed for the price. No squeaks. Seems sturdy. We’ve got about 450lbs on it including the dogs. I don’t expect it will last more than 5 years - but for the price that seems reasonable. ... show more

I bought this frame with a little uncertainty. I am a big man (6'9, 320) and this works wonders with my height and weight! Very sturdy and is holding together well! I could tell while assembling that this is sturdy! I would recommend to anyone!
