Got the reel in Saturday afternoon took it out Sunday morning. I put 10lb braid on it to a 6lb leader and used it on 2 different rods to pinpoint exactly where I want it to fit into my arsenal. Between the rods I used a BNM 410 and a Ozark Trail OTX medium. The reel felt good for both rods ultralight and light/medium. It really shined with lures from 1/16 - 1/4 oz. even got it to The brakes work amazingly well and spool tension knob is designed to help anglers grip it easily even with wet fingers. Compared to other reels at the price point it is quiet really quiet when light casting even when you open her up for a deep cast. Its feels like a feather on the rod and a nice little wrist flick goes a long way. At the price point its the best bang for your buck. The durability I'll give an update in a few months but I have 2 Torrent 2 200's, Alijoz 300 and 400 and they've been to war and back with no problems so I have high hopes for this little monster.

I was disappointed when they discontinued the Carbon XCS Baitcaster Reel. I was hoping this reel would be just as good, but falls a little short. The reel is light weight, smooth, and does cast well. As some noticed, it is noisy on retrieval and any overruns the line does get caught up in the gap between the spool and housing.

Its light and semi smooth. Did take consideration of the negative comments. Checked all screws and added little more oil on worm gear. Took me a bit to get back learning the adjustments. Definitely light. Have not used it much so reason for 3 stars. I'll know more little later. On a budget so I took a chance..

I have 8lb flourocarbon tied onto this reel and toss some fairly light-weight lures a good distance. It might be more fun with 6lb line, but I have found that the 8lb line is a lot easier to work with and is less prone to tangles. This reel starts to struggle when pulling a normal sized spinner bait through the water - this one is for tossing smaller 1/8th oz baits and it handles the smaller stuff with ease.

Smooth low-budget reel! I'm really liking how it looks on my rod and it's palmable and comfortable. I don't like the fonts on "TORRENT Lite" as it looks outdated/lazy if you know what I mean. Maybe in the next model, change the font to make it looks modern and bold..?? Performance wise, I can't say much about it yet for bass season isn't open until in a few months. This is a really nice looking reel for someone who is on a low budget.
