    • Great Reel for the Price!
Color: Green-Left Size: 8.1:1 Gear Ratio
I just received the reel, and it arrived in perfect condition. I spooled some braid onto it and took it out back to try a few casts. I have to say, for the money, this reel competes with some of the higher-priced reels I've seen here on Amazon. It feels smooth, casts well, and has a solid build. I got the green version, and I'm really impressed with the quality. It performs just as well as some of the more expensive options out there. So much so, I’ve already placed an order for the black one! You won’t go wrong with this reel—highly recommend it! ... show more

    • Very nice and smooth operation.
Color: Green-Left Size: 8.1:1 Gear Ratio
This is a good buy at this price point. Unless you are a pro, I don't think you could tell the difference between this and a $200 unit.

    • Torrent put together cheap.
Color: Green-Left Size: 8.1:1 Gear Ratio
Update, company reached out and made things right. It works great, very smooth. I'll be buying more from them Haven't used it yet but 1st thing I had to do was tighten handle nut down( handle could be rocked back and forth way to much. Bearing tension knob was about to fall off also. Very cheaply put together. Have not used it yet but we will see tomorrow. ... show more

    • Good reel for light fishing
Color: Green-Left Size: 8.1:1 Gear Ratio
The reel seams to good quality, being right handed I wish I would bought the right side one instead of the left. My mistake

    • Awesome reel for the money
Color: Green-Left Size: 8.1:1 Gear Ratio
Bombs casts. Brakes are actually really good. I bought this for a cheap reel for a back up. Brakes are stronger than some much more expensive reels.

    • It's LOCKED UP WITH RUST
Color: Green-Left Size: 8.1:1 Gear Ratio
DO NOT EXPOSE TO SALTWATER. I target striped bass in the SF Bay Area and rinsed the reel after each use. However, I didn't fish for a week and decided to service the reel and discovered it's locked up. It appears the spool tensioner bearing or bushing is plain steel because it's rusted TIGHT to the driven gear. I'm very disapponted.... I'll stick with KastKing baitcasters for my application. It **might** survive freshwater use. ... show more

    • Bought a second one
Color: Green-Left Size: 8.1:1 Gear Ratio
I bought a second one of these reels during the black Friday sale after being impressed by the one I bought in early October. I have a couple of the original Torrents that have performed well for several seasons, but these new ones are lighter and smoother running, and cast further. I'm pretty amazed that they can sell a reel this nice for this price. Hoping they hold up as well as the original Torrents. ... show more
