For small smaller spools of light mono the line lay is just fine. I tried to fill the spool up to max capacity with 10 lb power pro an past just over half way filling up the spool its line lay went fucky an from the tapered walls on the spool extending beyond the travel so I couldn't fill them up as much as I wanted but still plenty of line on them an the reels have worked very well otherwise. 28 inch steelhead first time using it. ... show more

Its quality is in line with its price point, but for a couple bucks more, you could do a lot better. Has a very cheap feel to it. So far it functions as a spinning reel, but I have serious doubts about the durability of this reel.
