Rate Features: Suction Power 1 star because what suction power are you on about? There's no suction to this device. That doesn't track at all. Do better. It's pretty easy to use but the adapters don't inspire confidence in me as I've yet to use them, but I've fiddled with them and i'm not impressed. The jury is out on that. I'll edit later one way or another. So why the 5 stars? I just spooled up a reel and I enjoyed it! I hate spooling up reels as I always and I mean ALWAYS have a problem. I haven't met a spool of line that doesn't all but turn into an evil cartoon animation that tries to thwart me. I'm not a clumsy guy, I have skills and dexterity but I've got bad line spool faction or something. I'm talking the line spool escapes rolls across the floor and gets snatched up by a high energy dog and comedy ensues. My neighbors got to see me out on the deck spooling up huge reel laughing like the madman I am. It was glorious. I handed the thing over to a guest to crank on it and it was awesome. We laughed and celebrated. It was a glorious day in the sun. It's the small things in life one should enjoy. So get one my brothers and sisters in fishing and enjoy spooling a reel. Piscifun Fishing Line Winder: I received this and had to give it a try. I used it to spool 30 lb braided line onto two different reels. One of the reels was a Kastking 50 round baitcaster and the other was a Shimano LX4000. The Kasking Baitcaster was very straight forward. The spool was locked to remain level with the reel spool. The reel was upright and facing the spool which fed line from underneath. Pros: It laid down the line with very even tension and although the cranking wasn’t very smooth but it nicely got the job done. I will note that the line must feed off the spool from under the spool. Spooling with the line coming off the top had tangling and feed issues but feeding from the bottom worked well. Cons: The spool holder isn’t wide enough for a 600yard bulk spool but it can be made to work with enough tension on the line. The tension adjustment knob was sticky and difficult to adjust beyond a certain point. It was equally sticky and difficult to release the tension. The locking mechanism to keep the spool from rotating worked but wasn’t really solid. Now for the spinning reel. The line winder did the job nicely with the spool head released to rotate. The direction of the wind off is equally important and best set up with the spool locked, make a single turn of the crank, stop and release the line head so it can rotate. I spooled up the reel without incident. Pros: It is impossible to completely wind a spinning reel spool backwards with this line winder. This is possible with others like the Berkly Line Winder and after you do it once you are very careful not to do it again. You cannot make this mistake with this line winder. The line goes on with even tension and without any twisting. Cons: Much the same complaints as with spooling a baitcaster. Same difficulties adjusting the tension. Same issue with spool size. In the end the line spooler does the job it was intended to do. At $30 it is as good as the more expensive Berkly System, but it doesn’t rival the systems found in most tackle shops but at the price, they pay for a professional winding station you better get something really fantastic. It could use some attachment to empty a reel and make changing lines easier but again you’re paying $30. Overall, I am happy with its performance. ... show more

I just spooled my first reel with the line winder spooling tool. if the spool doesn't line up perfectly it will be unbalanced and not loaded the line properly. if you hold the spooler vertically like i show in the picture. you shouldn't have to worry about the spool being perfectly balanced. (Center of the rotating bearing). If the weight of the spool is offset it will always settle to the bottom when horizontal. And make it hard for the spool to turn with the reel. Also when winding the line on your reeI ,wind at a even moderate pace. Don't try and speed wind the line on. held it vertical and balanced the spool the best I could, and it worked perfectly ! The quality of the tool is good and should last a long time. The only problem I can see is the clamp balancing the spool perfectly. I would purchase this tool again ! ... show more
