Ordered another one to the collect of the other 10 other catfish reels I have. Bought this reel to replace a penn squall I had that just wasn’t right for what I wanted to do. I bought the size 60 it feels smaller then my abu 7000 but bigger then a 6500. It seems like a legit reel for the money no where near the quality of a Swedish abu but cannot be compared to it in its price point difference. This reel is absolutely fantastic. I have 50lb braid on it, and so far have used it for surf fishing. The casting distance is amazing, it rarely ever backlashes and when it does, it’s very mild and easy to fix. The drag clicker system comes in super handy too; I cast it out and leave the bale open with the clicker turned on and it goes off when a fish is on. Great reel. About 2 years in and no issues. It has reeled in many catfish with ease. I really like the push button. Drag could be a bit louder and the level wind opening could be a bit larger though. Some knot connections struggle to pass through.
