Build quality and size are perfect on this reel. I was surprised at how nice the reel is and I like the black finish. It is super smooth and the drag feels great. We will see how long it holds up but looks like a quality product. Great value.

This is a nicely made light reel that I use for bass fishing. Typically I buy Diawa Tatulas they’re now $365 For the price, this reel is pretty close and seems to operate smoothly with a good drag and high retrieve rate So far impressed

Smooth, great drag, light weight and perfect for UL fishing. I bought the 1000 size and it’s a dream to cast. For some reason this reel and the carbon XT cast further than all my other spinning reels. Not sure why but the way the line lays or something gets me extra distance that my other reels won’t. That being said don’t get the XT, this one is much better. The XT has lots of start up resistance and while reeling it in there is even more resistance. The carbon x 2 is the better reel out of the carbon series. Pass on the original and the new XT trust me. Will definitely be buying more of these, highly recommend. ... show more

On a recommendation of a friend, I purchased this freshwater Carbon X II 3000 spinning reel. I was so amazed on how light this reel weighs! It looks amazing and is virtually silent when reeled in. I have researched several reels that cost under $100 and I am sure there are a few that a decent but this reel for the price was the obvious choice.
