Likes - much better drag than Lew's SC. This has a thick drag gear and washers. Full range drag. Smooth. Casts a mile - on a 6' 6-14lb 1/8-3/4 rod, with a half ounce weight, it cast 60 yds+/-. Was using KK 20lb braid - no issues casting or retrieving. Bearing in the paddles of the handle. Very smooth. Well finished, light (8.4oz on my scale), easy to palm...sort of... Dislikes - the handle attachment spins in your left palm like an Abu or the old US made Zebco Red Rhinos. Its annoying. Zebco's Omega and Bullet don't do this. No oscillating spool. When I loaded the braid, it spooled to the front. Removed the spool and hand wound. Twenty casts later it was all to the front. Distance and retrieve was fine, but you will never get the spec'd 136 yds of braid on it. Maybe 90-95. I had 30yds of factory mono left as backing, so I figure I have around 80 yards of braid. So, you may get spooled in salt water heck even in fresh is possibly. No Muskie around here, though. Conclusion, its a keeper. For $23?! Its insane. Piscifun has great customer service, they use metal not plastic like KK in the important places, and the new Zebcos are $70-$135. Not sure about you, but I think its as good of a deal as the Magreel spincast, 5+1 bearing, all metal, mono only, for the Amazon price of $9.99. Better because it uses braid. But the two of them are first class seats at Coach prices. Enjoy it. Great job Piscifun. Now do an SC+ and oscillate the spool and redo the handle.

the reel is very smooth and feels strong, I am using it with 20lb braided line and it works well, it is my first time with spincast and it is difficult to cast with this type of reel, if you are used to traditional reels, but once you learn how to throw he is very precise and he throws far

After I received my reel I used it once all was good. I like the build quality not a plastic one. A few days later I get a message from Piscifun that there is a defect with the design that causes line breakage. Would I accept a refund? Okay that is some top notch customer service. So I did. Turns out they were right the 2nd time I used the reel the line broke on the 4th cast. I was impressed that they were so proactive. I would not hesitate to buy from them again even though there is a problem this time. I think the cause is the slots machined in the front cover. Maybe a smooth strip of material placed on the inside to prevent the line from hanging on a sharp edge? The reel is nice otherwise change the front cover design and that may fix it.

My boys love these, and I was impressed by how well they cast. But I can't keep the handle nuts tight. I lost one almost immediately and have found them loose a few other times. The piece that should lock it on doesn't work and even tightening it a lot doesn't keep it tight and on.

I own quite a few spincast reels; a Zebco Omega Z03, two Omega Pro Z02, a Zebco Delta Z02, an assortment of vintage Johnson Century reels, plus all the vintage spincasts I could lay my hands on. This Piscifun Blade SC reel reminds me very much of an older Johnson Century 100. The dual line pickups work well. It casts a country mile. While it may not have as many ball bearings as a more expensive reel, it’s smooth. The line lay on the spool is not oscillating but it’s even. The drag is smooth and adjusts easily. The weight is very light on the rod and I can palm it while reeling. It’s the same size as a Zebco Z02. For $26 you will be getting a very good spincast reel. The expensive Zebcos are great and so is this reel. I would definitely buy it again.

Very well made in the front half, great feel, smooth reeling, drag is on point, cast like a champ only dis like is the rear gear housing and casting button is plastic great contrast from the front, I definitely like it and plan to add more to the collection. I also have piscifun baitcaster and rod also quality product the rods are jam up I would definitely recommend their product if you haven't tried it

I want to give this a positive review because I have other Piscfun products and they are all incredibly well made. This is the smoothest casting closed reel I have ever used, but it has a major flaw with the line brake. It’s made out of a soft plastic. After 2 casts, the fishing line has cut into it and created a groove that snags the line and causes it to break. I should note that I am using the mono line that came with the reel. Already lost 2 lures in the first hour of fishing with it. Unfortunately, I will be returning the 2 that I purchased.

I payed 20 on sale but its worth 30 all day smooth casts all day long. Landed perch and other fish no problem. I give it a 4 the drag is a little light had to crank it up quite a bit for the perch, but over all great reel.
