My first time out with it I caught 3 walleye and the reel performed great. No real issues to complain about. If I was to be nit picky... The drag adjustment is pretty quick. this is by far my favorite spinning reel, for the price! for a $60 reel, you just cant beat this. a metal frame, 11 ball bearings, and for a 2000 size reel, weighing at 7.5oz, thats awesome! yes you find other reels thats lighter, etc etc, like a daiwa fuego, but you'll be paying over $100 easily. this reel is super smooth and ive caught tons of fish on it already, no issues. planning to get a couple more to replace my older reels. ... show more

I have a couple of the 1000 version of this model, but needed something with a bigger spool. This works just as well but double the capacity. Still very light and enjoyable to use. Will likely buy a couple more.
