  • Perfect positioning
I didn't want to attach my webcam to the top of my monitor because the bezel is tiny and it would have blocked a small portion of the screen. I found this flexible mount and decided to give it a try. The gooseneck is rigid and getting the positioning correct took about 15 minutes but the result is perfect. The webcam sits just above the top of my monitor and can be angled however I like due to the knuckleball at the end of the gooseneck; it's rock solid. Great product. ... show more

  • Use only on non-moving surfaces, or get c-clamp version instead.
Purchased this to hold a Logitech C920 webcam more in line with my face during video conferences. A plus is that it has a long goose-neck. However, this means it has to be stiffer when the webcam is extended in a more horizontal direction and it can take a bit of work to position it where needed. While the clip may seem to make this more versatile and is rather strong, it really is not strong enough to prevent itself from moving while attempting to adjust the goose-neck. Finally, as others have also mentioned, if it is attached to a desk on which there is movement - even slightest jar - say moving a mouse causes the webcam to shake. This item is best for areas where the camera will be adjusted only once and the clip is attached to a non-moving surface - a kitchen counter, a window sill, a bookshelf or a separate desk. Otherwise go for the c-clamp - the shaking will still be there due to the length of the goose-neck if used on a surface with movement, but it will be easier to adjust, or go for a c-clamp plus some sort solid articulated arm construction like a suspension scissor for example. I am keeping it as it may come in handy elsewhere, but will look for a different solution for my computer desk/work area. Wish I could score this higher. ... show more

  • Well built, but watch where you attach it
This is not a negative review; this is a well built product and exactly what I expected it to be. What I would point out is that 25 inches is a really long stand, and any vibrations can be really amplified down the length of the stand depending on how you have it positioned. I have mine clamped to my desk, but my desk is a stand up desk with some flex to it. When I'm typing or leaning on the desk the camera can start to swing around a bit which of course is shaking the picture. A shorter stand would not have as much of this effect, or if I could clamp it to something next to the desk so that desk movement didn't work its way down the clamp - either of those solutions might have been better for me. ... show more

  • Meh
I bought this for (a) more ability to aim my camera than I can get hanging it off the top of the monitor, (b) the ability to raise the camera a bit so people aren't looking up my nostrils all the time, and (c) to get the camera closer to my face, show less of my home office. And of course this sort of accomplishes all that. But. #1, it doesn't grip the edge of my work table well. Any attempt to adjust things at the camera end threatens to work it loose from the lip of the desk. I am thinking of trying to clamp it onto the monitor stand instead. Put one of those rubber jar-lid grippers in there. #2, the "flexible" part is so inflexible that it is a major wrestling match to make adjustments. #3, it is of course a bit more bobbly than your monitor--if your desk/worktable has any play to it at all, as mine does, this thing weaves around in front of your face like a cobra. Not a fault of the product, of course, just warnin' ya. The ball head is the bomb, though. And the whole assembly does seem well-made: Will probably last a lifetime. There are plastic parts, but they are thick and strong. And it was easy to put together and set up. ... show more

  • Very hard to move
Clamp works well for my needs...for some reason my had bling on it...which was funny. It is hard as hell to move and I kept fearing I'd break it, but at least I know it can take weight. Works for HP 320 cameras too...will be compatible with any camera that has the 1/4 inch screw size (inner). Good product. ... show more

  • It works as it is intended, but I wish... It works as it is intended, but I wish...
I have a laptop and a separate wide screen monitor, so I need to adjust my webcam to different angles from time to time when I am having a virtual meeting. I used to use a tripod but it has its limitations, therefore I decided to give this product a try. Since the side of my desk is a bit too wide to clamp the stand on, so I use the shelve on the book shelve instead (see pictures). The clamp and flexible neck are strong, so I don't believe the webcam will come loose in normal use. You may want to adjust the neck and place the webcam in the approximate position you want it first before you clamp down the stand because the neck is very stiff and not that easy to adjust. The clamp has protected pads that help protect the furniture surface and has pretty strong clamping force; the flexible neck is very strong too and should be able to handle the weight of most, if not all, webcams; the webcam adapter head came preassembled even though one of the product pictures show the steps to put them together (I did not dissemble it to see if it comes with all the different parts since I don't need to, my webcam screwed right on) I did not give it a 5-star rating because I think the clamp can be designed better so that the clamps do not clamp down at an angle, and the gooseneck can be a tad easier to adjust. All and all, I am satisfied with the purchase and will recommend it to my friends and family. ... show more
