    • Sturdy cam mount for any cam angle
I was having some difficulty with my vidcam, as my large curved gaming monitor(s) didnt eactly allow a sturdy fixed position for the Cam on top. I would have to readjust it frequently and have trouble getting it to stay right where I needed it. I have a desk with multiple displays and the Cam just didnt want to sit firmly on any of them. This stand is an excellent solution. I can clamp it on my Vesa mounting system, and now its not attached to any of the displays, allowing me to adjust displays without effecting the cam, and if the vesa mount does move, the cams aim/angle can be quite easily adjusted on this stand. Update: I have noticed that any movement of my desk vibrates the display mounts a little, which in turn makes the vidcam wobble slightly, the stand itself is quite sturdy/stiff, I think this is going to be a common issue with any stand of this design. ... show more

I have a laptop and a separate wide screen monitor, so I need to adjust my webcam to different angles from time to time when I am having a virtual meeting. I used to use a tripod but it has its limitations, therefore I decided to give this product a try. Since the side of my desk is a bit too wide to clamp the stand on, so I use the shelve on the book shelve instead (see pictures). The clamp and flexible neck are strong, so I don't believe the webcam will come loose in normal use. You may want to adjust the neck and place the webcam in the approximate position you want it first before you clamp down the stand because the neck is very stiff and not that easy to adjust. The clamp has protected pads that help protect the furniture surface and has pretty strong clamping force; the flexible neck is very strong too and should be able to handle the weight of most, if not all, webcams; the webcam adapter head came preassembled even though one of the product pictures show the steps to put them together (I did not dissemble it to see if it comes with all the different parts since I don't need to, my webcam screwed right on) I did not give it a 5-star rating because I think the clamp can be designed better so that the clamps do not clamp down at an angle, and the gooseneck can be a tad easier to adjust. All and all, I am satisfied with the purchase and will recommend it to my friends and family. ... show more

This was too stiff to move and shift the flex portion - in fact the clamp would often move before the flex tubing would - it felt that is was built to be too inflexible - I need something that can be adjusted from time to time. I still have this item still, but no longer using it - I think my brother may like this better than I have so he can use it for a slightly more static position setup than what I need. ... show more

    • Use only on non-moving surfaces, or get c-clamp version instead.
Purchased this to hold a Logitech C920 webcam more in line with my face during video conferences. A plus is that it has a long goose-neck. However, this means it has to be stiffer when the webcam is extended in a more horizontal direction and it can take a bit of work to position it where needed. While the clip may seem to make this more versatile and is rather strong, it really is not strong enough to prevent itself from moving while attempting to adjust the goose-neck. Finally, as others have also mentioned, if it is attached to a desk on which there is movement - even slightest jar - say moving a mouse causes the webcam to shake. This item is best for areas where the camera will be adjusted only once and the clip is attached to a non-moving surface - a kitchen counter, a window sill, a bookshelf or a separate desk. Otherwise go for the c-clamp - the shaking will still be there due to the length of the goose-neck if used on a surface with movement, but it will be easier to adjust, or go for a c-clamp plus some sort solid articulated arm construction like a suspension scissor for example. I am keeping it as it may come in handy elsewhere, but will look for a different solution for my computer desk/work area. Wish I could score this higher. ... show more

Not what I expected because the height of the webcam stand is insane.... Thanks to this stand, I've been able to improve my facecam in my streams & content. The stand is very flexible & sturdy, no matter what kind of setup you have you can bend it completely & it will stay in place. I quickly learned the length of this stand is a lot, I tried using the stand at full length & it was above everything on my setup & looked insane from its height. Perfect for those with multiple monitors, especially when you plan to have your webcam above a monitor that's flipped/sideways. I will say, for a streaming/gaming setup the length of the stand is overkill if you plan to have it be on the same desk you use, this would be great for those looking to show their hands like opening pokemon cards but otherwise I'd still recommend as I just bent the stand as much as I needed to get the perfect height. ... show more

    • Ok if you really need it
This is "ok" since it does do what it purports to do, which is to provide a method of holding a web cam when you need some extreme flexibility. But I'm giving it three stars first because it is not that easy to get into a perfect position and then hold there indefinitely, but also to prompt the question - "do I really need this?" Meaning .. it's infinitely better, in my opinion, to use a steel rod arrangement for a web cam than it is to use something like this, which is more like a novelty. I bought this and then ended up not using it, since I was able to use a 10 inch mic stand and a heavy duty binder clamp to affix my web cam perfectly and permanently, and not subject to throwing it off with an accidental nudge, which happens with this thing. Anyway, if you are in a situation where you absolutely need something like this, then I can recommend it for what it does - but if you can go with a more solid arrangement, and you are attracted to this for the novelty only ... I don't recommend it for that reason. ... show more
