This tape is a must have for any home hobbies, is useful for replacing factory tape that is removed for making repairs. Or for the home fabricator, using it to protect and isolate different components.

I noticed that the seller recently changed this item from an inexpensive package of Polyimide tape to a $300+ heat press. To be clear, I am reviewing the 5mm tape that I ordered, NOT the heat press. This tape is your typical Polyimide tape, also known as Kapton. Used for many different purposes in electronics as well as other (heat transfer printing). This is a decent quantity of tape, 2 rolls, but the 5mm width is very very small. This may be exactly what you need but for general use, you may want to choose a wider tape. The adhesive is strong and the tape itself is very tough.

I primarily ordered this tape to apply iron-on vinyl to shirts. This tape is very thin at just under 5mm wide (3/16"). The tape holds the vinyl adequately and withstands the heat press just fine. I also used it to tape a fitting down while soldering a few connections. Again, it did its job fine. My only gripe is the width. It is just too thin. I thought it would be fine, but it is difficult to work with unless you have tiny hands. Tape that is closer to 3/8" to 1/2" would be a lot better. The tape is thin but it does work.
