    • Great little radio worth your buck
It was easy to install... Had all the tools you need. Came with its microphone for car calls, and it's very lightweight. Not much more to say other than than great value for your buck and... its a Pioneer.

    • Watch out. Not happy!
I am very disappointed! This unit worked for 2 weeks and now it is Showing AN AMP ERROR CODE! Obviously there is a malfunction with the unit! I love pioneer but am outraged at this! I'm ready to send back!

    • Meh, overpriced for waht it is.
This is $40 worth of stereo with $60 worth of brand name on it. First off, it sounds fine. It is not a high dollar stereo, but it is good for noisy old cars where big dollar gear would be a waste anyway. But there are some issues with this unit. First Issue, the unit I received form a 3rd part sell was at the very least an open box unit. Everything was there and it works fine, but it should have been marked as such and should not have been full price. Next the packaging was terrible. The unit was in its original box that was in a padded envelope. The box was badly crushed on one corner. Next issue, installation was complicated by a very short wire harness. The wires provided were not quite long enough to get it hooked up to the factory harness. It looks like they are using the same wiring they provide with full depth units. But the chassis is so short that the wires don't reach. It was a major pain in the butt to extend all these wires. Also note, the illumination on this unit sucks. There is no dimmer connection, so it will not auto dim when the headlights on. I realize this is common on newer units, but it still sucks. Also the brightest setting on the display is not sufficient to make the display readable in full sunlight. The bluetooth connection worked fine and seems reasonable easy to use. I was VERY disappointed that this unit was not compatible with my iPod. The MVH-S215BT that I bought for about the same price in 2017 was better than this unit in most of the ways that are important to me. Overall I would rate this great for a $40 wal-mart radio. For a $100 Pioneer, it is not really worth it. ... show more

    • Works, but extremely disappointing
While it does function, and usually functions properly - I CONSTANTLY have to manually connect my phone via Bluetooth. The App is HORRIBLE and doesn’t work at all. The only way I can get my phone to auto connect was to delete the app, and just sync it manually as BT Audio. I must say the screen graphics are horribly disappointing. My Pionner deck from 2001 had better animations/graphics, and there’s no touch screen feature to my knowledge... The whole unit is a disappointment. You’d think in 2020, with SmartWatches etc - you’d think they’d have a Car Stereo (easily 10 times the size of an iPhone) would have an operation system/interface even SEMI sophisticated - but no. This is the exact equivalent to a CD player from 1999, only without a CD player in it, and it can connect with Bluetooth- IF you manually connect it. If you want a stereo that you will never have to mess with to connect your phone - this is not the deck for you. ... show more

Sound quality is horrible. A very low end stereo of pioneer.. I was honestly shocked on how bad it is.. Waste of time and money!
