Chose this unit to replace a faulty jvc with volume knob issues( was 10 years old) I chose this unit, as it is the same layout as my s320bt in my 4runner. I love this radio and the amount of tuning you can do for this price point is great, i also love that it auto connects to my phone when i start the vehicle and automatically starts my pandora. I also love that you can set the illumination to dim at a certain time of day, as long as you set the clock on it. Awesome unit, and the bluetooth microphone is clear and people can understand me, which is also rare for this price point. Excellent unit, easy install. Easy to install, radio reception picks up really nice,. The sound quality is really good compared to the one I replaced. I like the quality of a pioneer radio. Definitely thought it was the bang for the buck. It was a custom fit in a boat. Easy to operate and set up. Definitely buy one again.

    • Fantastic stereo, a little too bright for night driving.

I love everything about this stereo, except one thing- It's way too bright. Sound, 10/10, style 10/10, function 10/10, features 10/10. I just really wish it would dim about 3-4 more notches. I drive a lot at night and even on the lowest setting, its distractingly bright. Sometimes on long trips I will put a sweater over the dash to cover it up. I drive a 2000 Tundra, so the dash has that 90s/2000s green/yellow backlighting. I tried my best to get the colors to match and it's just too bright. I could go with a red and it wouldnt be as bad, but then it wouldnt match my factory interior at all. The take away? This stereo checks every box. It sounds good, it looks good, tons of features, the color palette is pretty much endless. If you dont mind it being so bright, 100% a good buy. If you want a stereo that looks almost stock, no blinding lights, maybe look at another unit. If this stereo just had a screen shut off button, or night mode, it would be the full 5 stars. ... show more

I like this radio! Looks great in the dash and sounds terrific. The seller is excellent too. Lots of menus on both your phone (some settings only available on your phone) but once everything is sert to you liking, you no longer need the app. Just one thing I've found that they need to fix = when playing audio from a USB drive, and you turn off the car, when restarted you'll get an ERROR on screen. Easily solved by removing and reinserted. It starts where you left off and all is well, But a little annoying if you use a USB drive. On your phone apps like pandora are seamless. Replaced a garbage Pioneer s21bt with this model. The s21bt being a $40-$50 head unit, the quality definitely goes up with price. Originally bought the car I installed this in as a throw away car but its been through a rebuild and still here after 5 years so I finally decided I needed a better radio in it. Bought this Pioneer s322bt as a test to see if more money meant better quality. Just wanting Bluetooth audio, all single din systems do the same thing and output the same power unless you spring for a "high power" system like that big 100watt rms Sony single din or a double din with a screen. Still, 95% of head units max out at 50-60 watts per channel and 12-15rms. Their are "high res" units but then the quality of you speakers and wire come into play if you want to hear a real difference. I simply want noise, Im already running good rated Pioneer speakers all around, no dedicated sub, so pretty much any single din will do as Im not want to spend double din money going down the rabbit hole chasing a high resolution screen and features like wireless android auto and other big double din features. So here I am with this s322bt. I mentioned the "volume knob" and this is my biggest gripe about the cheap Pioneer I used before this. The volume knob on the previous one was trash, spin it too hard or fast and it freezes up, very irritating. This one here has got a great volume knob and doesnt skip or freeze if you spin it too fast. This also seems to keep time accurately also. Back lighting is super bright and is appropriately "dim" when you set the brightness down. This unit also hasn't unpaired from my phone at random. 10/10 head unit. I bought it used for cheeper and I couldn't be happier with it. If you want something that goes up really loud (62 max volume) this is for you. So many eq controls to get your car sounding right. I would 100% recommend this and would by again.

The positives: solid update / replacement for a 24-year old Pioneer on my boat. Easy install (note that it’s a full sized single DIN) and solid audio output. Handles my 16gb of usb-stick music with a workable menu system. The meh: it’s a bit on the pricey side for what it is, and the Pioneer audio app that it wants to see for a phone connection is a tad clunky; I haven’t quite figured out if it’s possible to just connect a phone for basic music streaming without using the app (it demanded the app, and I just went with it). On the positive side, having Bluetooth control of the radio (volume, fader, music selection etc) via the app from the flybridge is nice. Overall, would buy it again. ... show more
