They sound good for a budget speaker. The bass thumps and sound a little distorted at loud levels but clear up with a decent amp. They sound way better than Rockford Fosgate which are way more expensive.

So far so good. Not a distinct difference in audio performance though the new speakers are much clearer in both voice and music ranges. The main issue with factory speakers was a buzz or rattle on some media. Talk radio would make the speaker buzz but since its audio streamed from my iphone, might have been the source vs the speakers. I have NOT had the buzz return and will continue to monitor the speaker performance. ... show more

These speakers are so much better than stock. I installed them last year in my 2010 Mazda 6, and they make the old speakers sound muddy and unclear. At first I tried them without an amp (no amp from the factory, just the head unit), and they sounded decent. I then installed a 1000w amp to power them, they just opened up and sounded crystal clear with enough punchy bass to shake my windows. They are not subwoofer level shake the car next to you, but they are competent. I like them so much, I just ordered a second set for the rear doors. Overall, I would recommend these if you have stock speakers and want a bit more punchy bass and clear highs instead of the mess that the stock speakers provide. These speakers have a ridiculous frequency response range and don't require much power at all, making them the perfect replacement for cars with weaker or base audio systems with full range speakers. I put these in my 94 Mazda B4000 (basically a Ford Ranger) with the factory amplified 4 speaker system. Despite the factory system being so weak these speakers really bring the best out of the factory radio and amp. Sound is so crisp and clear you'd think it's an aftermarket system. ... show more
