This book is complete perfection with AGE GAP (my favorite 😮💨), Professor x Student AND it GIVES ‘The Order’ Vibes (iykyk 👀) This book kept me on my toes and wanting more with every page! Between the sassy FMC giving it RIGHT back to her professor, to the snarky inner monologue, to the straight up statements that had me GIGGLING in my seat and kicking my feet (because why is a serial unaliver so funny🤭) this book is full of so much dark humor that pairs well with the plot and the absolute TENSION between the two characters. I have re-read this book THREE times in the last month because Maddox and Reyna are hot, angsty, the banter is some of the best banter I have ever read, and the secret society vibes mixed with the twist and turns Avina tosses in when you least expect it made this book a TOP READ of 2026! Truly, this book fed my murder mystery feels WHILE ALSO giving me all my favorite tropes, spice and the plot twists you wouldn’t see coming from a damn mile away. Respectfully I had the time of my life reading this. I felt like Maddox in that one chapter because actually WTF, like I knew in a way what was coming but NOT that way!! I was shook. Great reading pace, smut was great, the build up to that moment had me crazed, couch scene had me giggling. The way they understood each other, the fear of losing the things that matter to them. The things they endured, and how it got to this point. Him creating murder scenes for her is actually hilarious and unhinged lol. Honestly, she had that man by the balls & he loved it actually. Pink Ink by Avina St. Graves completely blew me away. One thing I love about Avina is that she always brings something fresh and unexpected to her stories. As always, I went into this release excited and curious about what she would deliver, and this might honestly be some of her strongest work yet (and I’ve been here since her indie debut!) The creativity in this story is on another level. It’s layered, sharp, and intentional in a way that makes you stop and appreciate the craftsmanship behind it. The plot is plotting. The spice is absolutely spicing. But beyond that, Avina turns this story into art while writing about art, and somehow makes you fall in love with the beauty and darkness of creative obsession all at once. The tension, the dynamic, the twist… everything kept me completely enraptured from start to finish. Pink Ink is a seductive descent into artistic obsession, where forbidden desire stalks as closely as death, and deadly curiosity blurs the line between muse and monster. 5 stars! ... show more

Definitely a good read. Especially for the themes it brings (we all can admit to reading some pretty rough dark romances to itch our scratch wink wonk). This one is definitely a top notch read. I will say the pacing in the end did seem like a quick wrap up that seemed a bit rushed to me. Would have loved to see more family clashing. 1st versus 2nd in command sort of drama. Well that was fantastic! Enemies to lovers but the enemies are actually obsessed with each other. Famous artist, serial killer, and cult member and the film student who idolizes his serial killing method and uses his murders as inspiration 🤯 Maddox is a part of a cult he wants nothing to do with, he is an assassin for them but uses the kills to let his artistic juices flow and creates masterpieces nobody understands. Until her. She sees the beauty and the art in his death and stalks his work and uses it as inspiration. When he takes over her class as the professor at the college, the close proximity causes them to start to fall for each other. He wants her with his whole soul but he is in an arranged engagement he can’t get out of, a job he doesn’t want, and in order to keep her safe must push her away. The spice was great and the tension was thiccccc. I loved this gory and gruesome love story. The ending actually made sense and although felt a little to easy was good. I was hoping she was going to get kidnapped or something and go on a killing spree but alas. ... show more

Firstly, thank you so much to Gallery Books and NetGalley for the ARC! I absolutely devoured this book. It was one of those reads that consumes your entire being and leaves you wanting more. It fit the dark academia vibe perfectly, and the tension and spice were just incredible. Maddox checks the boxes for a dark romance lead, but there is just something truly unique about him. I love how he truly treated everything like a fine art. Reading how he even treated his yearning and relationship with Reyna as an art form just gave me all the warm, tingly feelings. Also, the twists?! I won't go into more, for the sake of spoilers, but I could go on and on about this one, but I’ll keep it simple: it’s 5 stars all around. ... show more
