  • Fun
Style: 60526
Very difficult to put together and I’m 30 years old. No way my kiddo could have done this. I wasn’t able to get it all the way together because the structure kept breaking

  • Fun to build, not much fun to play.
Style: 60526
The directions consist of pictures, no text. Two of the main parts colors are dark blue and black and there are a lot of identical parts in those two colors but not the same quantities. The pictures are dark and it is hard to distinguish the parts and in assemblies you need a bright light to see where multiple similar parts of one assembly are placed. A little glue...okay, a lot of glue is need in some areas to keep parts from just falling off or moving. You'll need very strong fingers to install some parts especially towards the end of the assembly. I found it helpful to make and assembly and then look at the next or subsequent pictures of assemblies to see how the part is installed. The game itself is rather disappointing because there is no scoring and the only mechanical motion are 3 objects spinning while the music plays and the lights flash in sequence. But the challenge of assembly was great. I'm 79 and enjoyed that part, it took me about 5 days, 4-6 hours a day. Very young kids might enjoy playing with it but it's sort of fragile even using glue to keep parts from separating. I wouldn't use super glue because I had to pry parts apart to fix things more than once ... show more

  • Worth Every Penny
Style: 60526
This is a great and fun build. Little filmize building the floor, but once the structure goes together it sits sturdy. It does work, everything, launcher, flippers, ball drop, lights, sound and spinners. Floor is hard to get flat, and ball will hold up at times. But for the money this is a great purchase. ... show more

  • Missing pieces
Style: 60526
I was looking forward to giving this to my son for christmas. Wheni recieved this box, I noticed we were missing 6 base pieces and that the item was placed in a box that wasn't of its own. Disappointmented.

  • Difficult poor instructions
Style: 60526
So many parts that fit tightly together and very hard to assemble as well as nervous about the battery

  • Looks good, but very fragile and lights stopped working
Style: 60526
This was a beast to build and incredibly challenging. The pieces often didn't hold together as well as Legos would, and required glue and sometimes smaller fingers! It was incredibly rewarding to finish it though. I don't think it plays well, as it definitely is too sensitive, but it looks really good assembled. I do think the lights and music was a nice touch and was one of my favorite parts, until half of my lights stopped working before my build was even fully complete. Overall, I think if you get one that works, it's nice, but I'm not sure if you'll be able to actually play with it once you've built it. ... show more

  • Craziest building set I've seen
Style: 60526
When I saw this insane build, I knew I had to try it out. It's a building set, it's a functional pinball machine when finished. Not too big, not too small judging by the base plate layout (I've only just started). So far so good, no missing pieces but I'll update this review if that changes :) Not for the timid, this is a complex build probably better suited for 12+ ages. I've chosen to glue mine together as I go, since I want a study playable machine at the end. Instruction book is as detailed as other building block brands (ahem) and unlike other reviews, I didn't struggle with telling the dark blue pieces from the black pieces in the guide. Fun build so far, and even if it's less than impressive as an operable table, it sure is going to look cool! The time alone with the build makes the price worthwhile for me. ... show more

  • Awesome
Style: 60526
To start off, this is not an easy set to build. There are a lot of steps. Like, a LOT of steps. The end product is really cool and would make an excellent gift to a very experienced builder. I don't think I'd give this to a child, though, unless they're exceptionally patient. It took me about five evenings of building this while watching TV to get it done. The instructions are pretty good as far as very complicated, third-party building sets are concerned. They're not clear all of the time, but with some intuition and intense study of the diagrams, it eventually makes sense. The brick quality was a little lacking. The bricks were very rigid and hard to push together, and even harder to pull apart if you put something in the wrong spot. There were also some questionable design choices at the beginning that make parts of the middle want to stick up or droop down. Nothing was too terrible, though, but it did make me wonder if I was wasting my time with something that was going to fall apart before I was done. (It's happened before...) All in all, this is a very ambitious set. I might be a bit biased because I've put together so many third-party building block sets, but for the complexity of the end product, I think this set is awesome. It's a working pinball table--for the most part. The ball sometimes gets stuck in places. It's not perfect, but assembling this is the fun part of it, not necessarily playing with the finished product. ... show more
