    • Eye Pleasing, Durable Placemats With Scene Of Small Harbor.
Bring impressions of small European ports to your breakfast table. These placemats and color fast and durable. They are around 1/4 inch thick with sealed edges and look to me like the original work owes it rustic appeal to a watercolorist artist who paints with oils or acrylics. I have not gotten bored dining off these colorful, inspiring mats for six months so far. ... show more

    • ... Pimpernel placemats saying they didn't the quality was as good as in the past
I had read some reviews of Pimpernel placemats saying they didn't the quality was as good as in the past. I disagree with that assessment. The quality seems just fine. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these and other Pimpernel placemats. ... show more

I have been purchasing hardboard scene placemats for years. They hold up well in a active family household with their cork backsides also use as a hot plate. I recommend them!

    • Smelly
We’ve had the placemats for about a month now. The very chemical smell is slowly fading just now. It was so strong in the beginning that I got nauseous. The picture is pretty though.
