This headset is kind of expensive and I wouldn't have guessed that once I opened the box, the left controller was dead on arrival! I have submitted a "ticket" and anxiously awaiting their response. Over 2K in USD and it's not able to be used out of the box? I will submit another review after I, hopefully, hear back from them on the problem. I purchased this item through Amazon because I live in Alaska and Pimax does not ship to Alaska. With that said, how will I get a replacement for the DOA left controller. Stay tuned if you care to read about what happened. I will post it the minute I hear back or know anything about my "ticket"

Amazing image. Whether you get one that functions exactly as it should is a bit of a lottery. My first one had a scratched lens. Returned it and they inadvertently sent me the 57 ppd version. Then they sent me another 50 ppd version, but the fans on it make a very obnoxious buzzing sound that wasn’t the case with the other headsets. I’m still working on getting that resolved. In short, image quality is excellent, but it may or may not be worth the headaches to get a fully functioning unit.

This is the shiznit. For the price, it is the flagship VR headset of the field. I'm very happy with it. It is a little heavy (compared to my last HP Reberb G2) but not uncomfortable. VERY IMPORTANT to keep with 90Hz with MSFS 2024, or you will encounter some aweful lag.

What can I say. It was not right after the box. It would be nice to have direct instructions as: Install the Pimax software first, Install Steam VR (which is different than the other Steam). Getting "inside" the OS was not pleasant at all. There are not instructions to adjust the vision, it was all crooked and creating seasickness. After so many forums I figure out there is not a physical vision adjustment wheel, it was all within the Pimax software, but still I could not figure it out, if going left means exactly what, or going right, or vertical, my gosh, for that expensive amount of money you would expect better instructions!!!!!! In addition, beware that this only works plugging directly to a display port and a USB 3.0 only. My computer (top notch ACER Nitro 60 PC) came with 3 displayports (which I use for my three monitors), and 2 usb 3.0 only (which you can get a usb hub 3.x to expand). But I had to unplug and sacrifice one monitor which ruined my monitor configuration. I cannot be plugging in and plugging out to the pc every time I need the VR. I tried buying a multiplexer for displayport (one in and two out) but the VR does not work there, neither the Nvidia configuration for the monitor, does not recognize it any more... what a caothic experience. I was never able to really run and "see" my MSFS 2024 simulator through the Pimax. Had much more expectations. Good luck to the rest. I think this will work for people that uses only one monitor. I will remain with my Meta Quest 3, lower quality but much more reliable...
