That being said, I have heard that the 03 size pens are inconsistent in their performance.     • Have to be careful not to put a hole into the paper.

The point is so fine, it’s like writing with a mechanical pencil. You have to be careful not to stab a hole in the paper as you write, depending on how the pen nib hits the paper. Can’t really see the purple color of the ink, since the nib is so fine; like I said it looks like a mechanical pen made the marks/writing. Interesting pens. ... show more

I really wanted to LOVE these pens. They are good. But not awesome. Maybe it's because they have such a super-fine point...but sometimes they feel a bit scratchy when I write with them. I hold my pens at an angle when I write. These seem to write better/smoother when you hold them at less of an angle. Not necessarily straight up and down, but pretty close. Maybe I just need to get more familiar with them. But that's my first impression after writing with them for about three weeks. ... show more

These are my favorite pens after a long search. Muji is a close second and uniball pilot if I need something inky for glossy paper. These last a long time, have a very fine point with gorgeous colors, and no streaking or difficulty writing on different paper types.

This is a good bulk purchase considering that on other stationary sites you usually have to pay for shipping (which costs way more than the actual cost of the pens themselves). Despite this, I found that the ink of these pens doesn't flow very smoothly and will skip. I've purchased these same 0.3 Juice up pens from Asia/Japanese bookstores before (and absolutely loved them) and didn't run into this problem before.
