I've tested literally over 50 paddles in the $50 - $150 paddle range. This is about as good as you'll find on the lower end of that range. (And anything below $50 is generally not worth the money, IMO.) That said, every paddle has it's strengths and weaknesses, and different players will do better with different styles. One thing that is very different on this paddle is the grip -- it is a thicker grip than just about any paddle I've tried. Unless you've got big hands, I'd see this is a weak point in the design. It's comfortable, but I felt like it might bother me a bit over time. But like I said, other people might not care or even notice. It has very good texture and spin, excellent control especially up at the net for your dink game, and good enough power when dishing out ground strokes from the base line. They've done a fine job of creating a quality paddle at a decent price. I haven't found anything that matches this at a sub-$75 price point.

I am just starting to get into pickle ball, so I am by no means an expert. I was looking for a paddle that would add some power to my hits and dinks but also not be too heavy. This paddle fits the bill! The paddle itself is made from a durable plastic, with the head of the paddle being a bit thicker than other kinds. This has really added some power to my swings and dinks, and I'm really surprised how lightweight it is. The grip is comfortable and doesn't slip easily, especially when your hands are sweaty. Overall, this is a great paddle! It's been super helpful for a beginning like me to improve my game and hold my own against some more experienced players!

This is an excellent paddleball paddle for a beginner or intermediate player. It fit my uses well and I was happy to have a decent paddle to play with. It came well packaged and the handle/grip was comfortable to hold and to use while playing. I have not tried that many paddles so I have little to compare it against - however, it felt solid, hit true, and was not too heavy. I liked the darker and plainer pattern. It is more expensive than many other paddles but I thought of it as an investment for the future and I hope to use it for many years to come.

I'm really impressed with the MTEN Carbon Fiber pickleball paddle. As an intermediate player myself (with a backhand that needs some serious work!), this paddle has been a lifesaver. The sweet spot is huge, which means I can finally place my shots where I want them, no more shanking easy ones. But don't be fooled by the control – this paddle packs a punch! I can hit drives with way more power now, putting some serious pressure on my opponents. What really surprised me is how comfortable it is. The weight feels just right, and the handle shape fits my hand perfectly. I used to get elbow pain after long games with heavier paddles, but this one doesn't bother me at all. The only small downside is the grip. It's comfy when it's dry, but it can get a little slippery with sweat. I might swap it out for a replacement grip for those intense matches. Also, if you have smaller hands, this paddle might be a bit on the big side.

Overall an excellent beginner paddle! The size and thickness make it very forgiving and easy to practice some more difficult spin shots while offering plenty of sweet spot for returning any hit. It only took me a couple of games to get used to it and quickly became my favorite paddle. I'd recommend this paddle to anyone in the beginning stages of pickleball to hone their skills before moving on to an intermediate/advanced style paddle! Worth the money and magnitudes better than the very good beginner paddle I started with. Real carbon fiber face as well, can feel that it's carbon by touch. Some paddles claim to have a carbon face but don't feel like it. I guess they may have grit/coating over the carbon but I wouldn't be able to tell. Anyway, this one is definitely carbon

I am by no means a regular pickleball player. I have played several times with friends and family and have enjoyed it so much that I decided to look into getting a paddle of my own. This is a great paddle—the feel in your hands, the balance in my swing, and the rebound and absorption of high-impact shots were better than expected. It is fairly lightweight and has a sizeable sweet spot. The handle is comfy. The paddle surface has just enough texture to add some spin to the ball and give you more control. Anyone looking to get into the sport, this is a great investment that will grow with you and allow you to gain confidence in your play.
