  • Good quality, and incredibly fun game.
Very nice quality pieces, each having slightly rounded edges, and a really nice feel. The game is an absolute blast. Game Pros: - amazingly fun game - can play with ANY combination of players - 1v1 up to 6v6 and any combination in between - can play with uneven number of players - it's not a problem to play 1v2 or 2v3 ...etc (probably not according to the "real" rules, but we've played with uneven teams without any issue) - more strategy than cornhole (in my opinion) Game Cons: - not infant-friendly like cornhole... you're not throwing beanbags, you're throwing chunks of wood - so it's not a game you can play while infants are running around. - differing rules online. This is not a big "con", as we just read the first set and played, and it was a blast. We later found other slighlty varying rules, that we tried, and ALSO had a blast - so... again, not much of a con, especially since they all had the same idea - just slight variations. Materials Pros: - came with all the pieces (of course) - I'm not sure what "rubberwood" is, but - they're heavy enough and have a solid/nice feel - I was skeptical, and expected rough-cut chunks of 4x4 or something, but - these were very nicely sanded, almost soft-feeling pieces... seems very good quality. -nice rounded edges Materials Cons: - not stained or coated - (I didn't expect them to be, as I believe there's a pricier version that is). I ended up staining them myself, but it's likely not necessary, as you probably won't be playing in the rain. - game instruction booklet is a bit lacking - nothing the internet couldn't clarify though - the wood dings up fairly easily - it doesn't hurt the game, and they're not large dings... just something to note I guess... you ARE, after all, throwing wood at wood - so this is probably expected Side note: - If you have some string, we found it helpful to run a string around the outside of the playing field and one across the middle - it made it easier to quickly determine if the block was out of bounds, or across the mid-line. ... show more

If you want to play a lawn game and have any self respect for yourself, put away your cornholes set and get this fantastic game that actually involves some skill and strategy. Put down the Bud Light while you're at it. I was introduced to this game while travelling in Germany. I never heard of it and was thrown into it by a group of people I was spending time with one evening. This game is absolutely brilliant! The basic idea is to knock down the opponents "soldiers" before they knock down yours. You throw pegs at little blocks of wood. When knocked down you have the opportunity to throw and re-place them, and you can even move up in the field of play. There are all sorts of rules that create an interesting game play that can really push either party far ahead of the opponent and then back again in waves. Even when you're far behind you can always catch up... which has happened to me several times. It's a great lawn game that adds a new dimension to BBQ type of activities. Start the campaign to do away with "bags" forever. Let there be Kubb! ... show more

  • Lots of fun
The game is fairly simple once you figure out the rules. Almost any age can play. The sticks are thrown underhanded at the opposing team's blocks. Once knocked over, that team must throw them back to your side of the court. They must knock those over first, before they try and hit your other ones on your baseline. If they miss, you can move up to the one they missed for a closer shot at their blocks on their baseline. This is a game of momentum and that can change with a few well placed shots. My Dad is 77 and he loved it. Kids can also play and anyone in between. 2 people can play or you can have 12. It's a very versatile game and it's a good time to be had. Give it a try. ... show more

  • Amazing game and durable!
I got this game to play at a bachelor party. At first people were not sure what the game was but after playing it once they were hooked! It was such a fun time! It was also very durable! We played on grass and it got a couple of grads stains but that was about it. I also left it in the back of my truck after playing the game back in august and it would bang around whenever I took turns or stepped on the brakes and we just took it out this past labor day weekend to play it again and it was perfectly fine! Great game! I would recommend it to anyone! ... show more

  • fun game
When he was living in Denmark, my husband got hooked up with this game. He mentioned about it so often. seeing his fascination with the game, I decided to get this one as a birthday gift. He was really happy. We played the game with group of friends. I must admit. AT first it looks really silly and boring. But then you just start enjoying it. everytime i play, i lose track of time. ... show more

  • Great game!
My summer-go-to game. Who needs corn hole, lasso golf, horse shoes or anything else. This game involves up to eight people or as few as two. Challenging, yet simple enough to pick up for most people to pick up. Hours of fun and worth the price. Due to the weight of the blocks, I'd strongly advice against children playing. The last thing you want is one of these blocks landing on your foot or going through your window. Trust me, it doesn't feel good. ... show more

  • Great Game
Purchased this game to take to a bachelor party and I think I got my money's worth in one weekend. In addition to the campsite, we had it set up on a beach, and dozens of fellow boaters approached to learn what the game was and where they could get it. This truly is a fun game. After several hours of heavy usage (drunken bachelor party goers--who weren't as kind to the set as could be) it came out of the party with some minor dents and plenty of grass stains. Pretty excellent in my opinion. ... show more

  • Great game -- not very sturdy
The service was fabulous -- soon after ordering, we received our Kubb Game. We purchased it for our family reunion (we're of Swedish descent)! Everyone loved it and the game was played all day. That day we played on the grass. However, a short time later, my daughter and her friends played it in less optimal setting and the set didn't hold up. The wood is pretty chipped up and just didn't survive well. So, just be aware that the wood is soft and think about where you play! ... show more
