For the price, this is a great project. There were extras of the easily misplaced small parts. That was nice. Instructions were good. The controller and RC response of the car is primitive. No fine control of steering or speed. But it does move fast.

In general, this is a good kit. However, it doesn't look to be very durable. We haven't finished the assembly, but I'm sure the front 'bumper' will not survive one impact and the rear wing will also easily fall off. I also don't much care for the devices that connect the wires; I assume they will flop around when the car is in motion. But, I'm sure my grandson will have tons of fun with it and we'll end up making it more durable (hot glue to the rescue). ... show more

At first we were overwelmed with all the pieces. After we got started time flew by. We finished it around a hour . Very rewarding build. Not gonna last for ever, but for the price it's very cool. I got this for my 8 year old son for Christmas. He's grown up from his toddler years assembling Kiwi Kits & Tinker Crates which I used to subscribe to so I got him this to build. He put it together with my assistance, but the remote control doesn't work very consistently so he hasn't really played with it much after assembling it.     • Bought as gift for 8 year old nephew, he really liked putting it together.

My 8 year old nephew really liked this product. I plan to purchase another one to put together with him. It took about 3 hours to put together, but that's at a casual pace while having lunch, and providing guidance. I highly recommend this as a gift.
