  • I love them!!! I love them!!!
Size: Pack of 2
I was a bit sceptical about this product because some of the reviews weren’t that good. But oh my goodness, I absolutely LOVE these traps!! First of all, they look very beautiful at night, I really enjoy the fire effect. Secondly, they do catch insects. The photos I’ll be sharing are from Day 1 using this product, and already there are quite a few insects trapped. The only thing to bear in mind is that it doesn’t make much noise; it might seem like it’s not doing anything since you don’t hear or see anything, but if you take a closer look, you’ll notice quite a few mosquitoes. Thirdly, I saw quite a few comments complaining about the battery life. I didn’t track the exact time, but in my area it gets dark around 6 pm, and they were still working at midnight, so they seem to last quite a while. The only downside I can think of is that the plastic poles don’t feel very sturdy. We’ve placed them in spots where they’re not likely to be hit by much wind, and they seem fine for now, but I wouldn’t recommend exposing them to strong winds in your area. ... show more

  • Beautiful, add ambiance to yard
Size: Pack of 1
This are easy to install, they have an automatic dusk to dawn setting, and flicker like real torches. The colors are gorgeous! Much better than in the pictures. We like these so much we got six of them!

  • Stylish Bug Zapper with Great Ambiance Stylish Bug Zapper with Great Ambiance
Size: Pack of 1
The PIC Solar Insect Killer Torch (DFST) is a fantastic blend of style and function for outdoor spaces. Its flickering LED flame effect creates a warm, tiki-torch-like glow, perfect for patio ambiance, while the zapper effectively takes out bugs. The solar-powered design is eco-friendly, charging in sunlight and lasting up to 6 hours at night in our yard Pros: • Realistic flame effect • Solar-powered, eco-friendly, and cord-free • Adjustable heights for flexible placement Cons: • Pole is flimsy and doesn’t stand straight when fully extended • Bug tray is small and can be tricky to clean ... show more

  • Meh . . . A good idea but poorly executed.
Size: Pack of 2
**update** one of the two I purchased doesn't work after an hour. I've only owned them three months. Losing yet another star. So much for that... Works on moths, not mosquitoes or flys. We don't have a lot of moths, not compared to the number of mosquitoes or flies. Battery life is an issue. After charging all day in the hot Texas sun, they don't last more than a couple of hours. I'd like to see them last through the night. One last thing, it looks like it's designed so that it's either getting light from the solar panel, or it turns itself on. At first you think it's an ingenious solution; you either get light to charge the battery or you power up the device but this is actually a problem. If you have these in an outdoor setting where you have a porch light, it'll see the light and not turn on, it'll think it's time to be charging. I had to take little scraps of plywood to cover up the solar panel so they would work when I'm trying to enjoy my backyard. ... show more

  • Durable
Size: Pack of 1
I purchased these 6 years ago. They've been left outside year round, and they still work and look fantastic! However, they do nothing for bugs. They're more decorative than anything.

  • Didn't last very long
Size: Pack of 1
I absolutely love how it looks! It worked great all summer last year. I will mention that I live in SD, summers are short. So it worked from end of May until October when the weather got cold. Come spring... its just not working. Unfortunately it's not like my other ones where you can clean it good.

  • Pretty flame-like torches, long-lasting solar power
Size: Pack of 1
These long-lasting solar torches with flame effect look great on our decks. Don't know about the insect-killing effectiveness, because we live on the lake, and it is too large an area to eliminate all the insects.

  • I don't know how well it kills, but it is really pretty and handles salt air
Size: Pack of 2
I see residue when pulling out the tray, but I don't know if it is actually getting mosquitos or just small moths, but for the price, I would use it for the lighting alone. I have had this for over 3 months in a salt air environment. I do not shelter it or take it in for rain or "normal" wind, and they are functioning well still. I had one late night where I thought I was going to have to say differently because the light was acting "weird" and finally stopped working around midnight even when I alternated on/off. But I had forgotten that it had been a particularly dark and stormy week, and the next evening after recharging it was back to it's happy glow. The UV light blends nicely with the flame effect to give it the "gas lit" torch look. ... show more
