This light box is great for my daughter to take pictures of her handcrafted amigurumi and other craft items she makes. It assembles very easily and feels nice and sturdy. It comes with a vast variety of different color backgrounds that you can use, but they don’t look seamless when taking photos, as they aren’t as secure and slide out of place easily. It has an opening on the top where the lights are and has multiple settings to change the strength of the light. It comes with a piece of fabric to soften the light as well, but in my opinion, the light just doesn’t get bright enough to her liking. My daughter noticed that even if she has the light setting all the way up, her pictures still turn out pretty dark with visible shadows. She uses an external lamp to get the brightness she wants with good results. The box is very easy to operate and is a good starting light box for her but could be improved with a light that’s a bit brighter.

First off, I have to say that I love how easily this 16x16x16" lightbox (really more like 15.5" on a side) sets up and folds for storage/carrying. I have a bigger (25x25x25") lightbox that is perhaps a little better overall, but it is a major pain to set up or collapse. Although a 12x12x12" box wouldn't hold and properly light most objects that I photograph, I'm rarely photographing something that would fit in my larger lightbox and not in this one. This lightbox produces light with some control over both color temperature and brightness. Many dimmable LEDs (including my larger lightbox) have high-frequency flicker that can show up as alternating light and dark bars when using a camera with a focal plane or electronic rolling shutter at high shutter speeds, but I haven't seen that from this unit. For example, the blue die puzzle photo was shot using the electronic rolling shutter of a Sony A7RV at 1/6400s, and I don't see flicker artifacts. The brightest LED setting is dimmer than my other lightbox. The ad says the LEDs draw 1.8-20W at 9V via Type-C USB, but the power cable directly wired to the LEDs, which has an inline control, ends in a USB A connector. The single-page user manual contradicts the ad and says power is 0.4-11W at 5V and recommends a 2A 5V supply. I did most of my testing running it off a standard 2.1A 5V USB adapter. I also was able to run it off a little USB power bank, which is a great option to have. The manual suggests it could be powered by a computer or laptop, but typical USB A outputs are not designed to provide that much power. The lighting isn't as even as with my other lightbox because this has a full side open, but there is a diffuser included that can velcro under the LEDs to help even it out a little. Still, the 11" tall Turkish vase was shot with a white background and no diffuser, and it's not bad despite being a large object for this box. The most even lighting comes from shooting through the portal in the middle of the LEDs (without using the diffuser) with the open side of the box down over the background material -- a horizontal shooting orientation that gives you almost no access to adjust the object being photographed but is very effective because the box then has all six sides closed with the LEDs acting as a ring light. The unit comes with six "Background Paper" sheets that nicely fit the unit and seem to be made of a good grade of lightly textured plastic so they're pretty durable. However, the sheets are different colors on their two sides, and that causes a little trouble in that the outside color (as they come and store folded) doesn't want to bend the other way to sit flat in the box. That still wouldn't be a significant issue, but the color pairing on the sheets is annoying in that black and white, the most common background colors, are two sides of the same sheet. Overall, I find this lightbox quite appealing. The carrying bag is flimsy, but this is easily portable and the fast setup and tear down are great. It's not a high-end lightbox, but it isn't minimal either. I don't think this would be my first choice as a lightbox that is kept set up all the time. However, as a lightbox you set up only when needed, this is hard to beat. I easily can imagine carrying this with a USB power bank to photograph things on-site anywhere.

Wow, this thing is a very expensive piece of junk. First, it doesn't assemble as shown. The sides don't stay extended out. They kept closing back up. My husband had to zip tie them to keep them in place. SO now, it is not a portable unit because I will have to replace zip ties every time I break it down. The backgrounds are continuously slipping out of the elastic band in the back. And the most infuriating is the lighting. The diffusers do work at preventing shadows but the box is just too dark even at the highest setting. At this price point, this light box should not have any negative issues.

16 x16 light box and easy to set up. Light could be a bit more brighter but you could always add an external light source from the top opening. This is a good light box for small items like camera lenses when trying to take photos for ebay or other seller's site. You could change the background as well. Easy to transport and minimal space for storage.

Review for: "Photo Studio Light Box, PULUZ 16"x16" Professional Foldable 3200-6500k Dimmable Shooting Tent Kit with 160 LED Lights CRI 95 & 6 Kinds Double-Sided Color Backdrops for Product Photography… " It is surprisingly small when packed, and super easy to setup but also sturdy. The LED on top is super bright, and it comes with a white "diffuser" to soften the light. It is about 4100 lux at 30cm @ 4100 K. The CRI is only 87 (much lower than claimed 95) which is little bit too low for product photography (especially if we need to render true color) but still acceptable for casual not so critical color match application. The 6 double sided color backdrop is good quality, but I find it to shiny make it difficult to get seamless background (see attached picture, only white is "seamless", yellow is okay and black is the worst). If it is matte non reflective material it will be perfect. Off course if I added a front key light, that issue will disappear. But for this test, I solely depend on the provided light source. If the LED has 95 CRI as claimed I would give it 5 stars. Other than that it is a nice to works studio light box.

I wanted to find a way to put better pics on my personal web site so I got this box. It is just what I needed. My pics are much better and much more vibrant. I am just learning how to use this box so there is not much technical stuff that I can share in this review. All i can tell you is that it is easy to set up. It comes with 12 backgrounds. It comes with a very convenient carrying/storage case. And I am just so thrilled to have this!! I have spent a lot of time playing around with backgrounds and lighting to see what works and what gives me the results i want for my pics. I am having a ball doing that and learning how to take good pics! I love this box! Its great, even for someone as green as me!!
