Update: new replacement was sent quickly. Great customer service. New toy worked great. Kid loved it. Old: They tighten the screw so hard on the remote for the battery compartment. The screw driver provided broke in pieces almost cutting my hand open when trying to put pressure to unscrew. Unable to use because cannot get it open

We just tried this out at the lake, and it's super fun and unique, but it doesn't do well in water that is even slightly choppy, so we had to pull it back up on land once the powerboats started kicking up wakes all over the lake. That said, the kids were having a blast running this all over and squirting everything. Time will tell how much of a liability that water cannon will become the first time the kids try to play with this indoors. That might be a bit of a pain but oh well. And I can absolutely imagine my little nephew chasing their dog or cat around the house squirting them. So if you give this to a kid, you might have to hide the water reservoir while it's indoors. One other thing to note, this thing drives surprisingly well on a sandy beach, but gets bogged down pretty easily in other types of terrain, especially grass. For kids, the remote is definitely easier to use than the wrist controller, probably because they're used to game console controls. Still, this was a ton of fun, and a perfect toy for outdoor use in the summer!

There are RC cars, there are RC boats, and there are full auto water guns...this combines all these into one great toy! My 8yo son loves this new toy and it's a lot of fun to play with. Will go from land and jump right into the pool. The remotes are even waterproof too. And comes with 2 types of remotes. The red one, which is motion controlled is pretty cool, but one of the issues I have with this toy is that remote. Although very cool, it's not that easy to get it to work and is not very intuitive in how it works. Again, the motion part works sometimes and is cool, but both my son and I have had some issues with getting it to work. But the black remote is the more traditional remote and it works great. Both remotes take 2 AAA batteries. The toy itself is a rechargeable battery and it even comes with 2 of them. So one can be charging while the other is in the toy. The squirt gun portion of the toy is really strong and shoots far. Though one of the other issues we've had, and why I'm not giving this 5 stars, is the small water bottle tank that the gun draws water from sort of implodes if my son keeps trying to squirt the gun after the water runs out. The suction is strong enough to implode and warp the refillable plastic container. They need to make this with a stronger plastic. The toy kind of tends to also flip over in the pool, but not always and not that big of an issue. We just flip it back and it cruises along in water at a decent pace. It will also doo some minor off-roading too! Other than these minor issues, it's a great toy that my son has had a lot of fun playing with by the pool. I'd recommend this toy to anyone.

We bought this for my kid and they love it! It has pretty good speed and control with the handheld controller. The wrist controller works, and if we practiced more we’d probably get the hang of it, but it was much harder than just using the handheld one. The water feature is really fun and even though the water container is small, it still lasts a while. The stream isn’t particularly powerful, but goes fairly far, we got to at least 20 ft. There is a cool feature where the car will spin in circles while continuously spraying water which would be great for a water fight, or you can make it manually spray with a push of a button. The wheels are such that it will go through water easily, and the battery compartment and internals are well sealed off so it won’t get ruined. One thing I’m a bit neutral about it that the car comes with two rechargeable batteries. I wish it just took AA batteries, but at least there are two so one can charge while using the other once so it will last for a long time of play. Really fun remote control car!

Wasn’t sure what to expect but as soon as you open this you will be quite surprised with the quality of everything. This a very nicely put together and works really well which is great considering it goes on both land and sea. Upon initial set up you will need a small Philips head screw driver to open up the battery compartment. Love that this comes with a rechargeable battery and that it comes with an extra so the kids can keep going once one dies. The car has a couple different speed options. It takes some getting use to at first but once you get the hang of how it drives it’s really fun. The water cannon works very well. Shoots really far. Kids love it. Only issue I have noticed that may be all unit or just ours is the water canon button sometimes gets stuck and will continue to shoot water until you press the button again. Other than that we have really enjoyed this RC car. This is a great gift for kids and a fun summer activity.

After 2 days of using the toy, it stopped working. Left it for a few days and When I opened it, the inside of the actual car was full of water and the control had completely rusted.
