My record player started playing extremely softly and I couldn’t figure out why. I’m not great with electronics but I got this to amplify the sound and it works fantastic. I can even connect the headphone jack to my phone so I can listen to music from my phone whenever I want. It’s compact, lightweight, and looks clean with my music setup. I would say it’s great for starters and the sound quality that goes through to my external speakers is fantastic.

It works but it made my speaker system very bass heavy. I don’t have an EQ or tone control elsewhere so that may be my issue. It does work though and the volume control is great and for the price you can’t beat it.

I was a bit skeptical ordering an inexpensive pre amp for my turn table. Was stuck between a tube pre amp and this guy. With only 44 reviews i was almost not sold, every review i read was a good review. Went for it and absolutely love this little unit. Great sound. Great build quality. Easy to use. 100% recommend this for a solid state pre amp for your sound setup especially if you have an EQ on your amp. It really lets you dial in the sound you want.

Didn't even have to ground it 😁. My reel to reel had its internal preamp die on the right channel (eBay purchase) after some tinkering and not finding the issue to be an easy fix I just turned it all the way down and went for an external preamp. The first one wasn't adjustable and over blew the signal, the second was just a stereo I was using and the "hiss" was unbearable at listening volume. This thing, I plugged it in set my gain and volume, and it's so clear it sounds like I'm inside the tape. Excellent purchase.
