As soon as I received the product and successfully tested it with petri dishes I realized I wanted to put so many more objects in it I upgraded to Homesoap. I wanted to put my wallet but it didn't fit open, my glasses, earphones, game controllers, etc. I sold my Phonesoap Pro to a friend who couldn't buy hers here due to them being sold out. The Phonesoap Pro is mostly made of plastic which is very light with a nice polished finish (mint color), the lid hinges jiggle a tiny bit but they move smoothly and close perfectly with a snap due to magnets. The uv light only turns on when the lid is closed but there is a little bit of light leakage so I wouldn't sit next to it while in use (see photos and keep in mind this is dangerous since UV-C light causes skin cancer). The hole for the charging cable has a soft plastic that blocks the harmful uv light to leak when there is no cable being used. The product is entirely plastic except for the translucent glass surface you rest your phone on. The quality of Homesoap is a little nicer, perhaps because they didn't use that mirror like reflective plastic used inside Phonesoap Pro which reminds me of a cheap Chinese plastic product. The result is that it looks more refined and the emitting color of the UV light has a deeper darker navy blue tone to it. Homesoap has no light leakage, the only way to see the light is to open the door a few millimeters. Homesoap is also made entirely of plastic except for the translucent glass surface on the bottom. Both products leave a temporary smell on the objects you place inside but it goes away after a few minutes. I believe this is the smell of ozone due to the oxygen particles that are broken apart by the high-energy UV-C light.

I lke UV phone sanitizing. I'd been wiping my phone with rubbiing alcohol and lost use of my speaker for a while, and then the speakerphone another time. UV doesn't have this risk. I like the design alot. One thing I wish for is for is something my finger tips can grip onto when I open the unit. It's a little hard to open as is now. Also, I might recommend the UV sensor card, from Amazon at low cost, quite helpful in seeing that the Phone Soap unit isn't leaking UV, and was in fact beaming UV in the inside, in the phone compartment. I have no affiliation with the sensor card people.

Bought to replace an original phonesoap that went out. I enjoy the faster 5 minute disinfection time (compared to 10 minutes with the original phonesoap). Also enjoy the ability to charge from the phonesoap unit and it's 360° sanitization capabilities.

i have been a nurse for 4 years and have wanted a phonesoap since i had a hip surgery at 15 and saw this product on shark tank. it gives me some peace of mind that i am not bringing *every* superbug my patients have home with me. i have other measures, too, and we do have isolation precautions. i just like to be as careful as possible. seems as though this is thoroughly researched. will update with any longevity issues

Product's materials are great. It looks great, it feels great. With the product comes a sheet of paper saying "Not happy, contact us and we'll make it right". I was happy, but a week after using it, it sopped working. I double checked the cable, the power connection, and everything that was in my hands in order to be as efficient as possible, describing the problem at the moment of contacting costumer support, and nothing worked: the unit is dead. I was going to contact Amazon, but I didn't want to return it (at least not before being sure the unit was damaged, I really loved it), so I got the "Contact us and we'll make it right" sheet of paper (the one that came inside the product box, writen by the manufacturer) and said to myself "Well, I'll give it try, I'm sure costumer support must be great if they include such a statement with the product: I was COMPELTELY WRONG. After several emails trying things like "expose the product to the sun", the "solution" was "I don't know what's wrong with the product. Call Amazon, you bought it from them". I get it, I DID bought the product from Amazon, and if Amazon is the one that has to deal with product failures, then the manufacturer shouldn't include the "Not Happy with the product? Contact us and we'll make it right" sheet of paper (or at least costumer support should have told me something like "I'm going to try helping you but ultimately Amazon has the last word here" so I wouldn't waste my time contacting the manufacturer (as the product sheet said). What bothers me is the FALSE perception of having a great costumer support behind the product if something goes wrong, and then "Go contact Amazon" when we need costumer support. Contacting costumer support was a HUGE waste of time. If something goes wrong with your unit, stick to Amazon support, don't bother contacting product's costumer support.

I like the phone sanitizer because it looks good and fits my iPhone 11 well. You do have to trust that it works because you can’t see the germs on your phone! LOL! The unit is large enough to put other things in it (take your phone out first). I’m thinking of putting my credit card in the unit but waiting to hear the answer about the UV light damaging the chip. And this one also allows for other items to be charging through another port. I do recommend this unit. And I believe the seller (the individual,not Amazon) is very committed to providing a great unit and follow up!
