Works like a charm. I've only used it as a tripod to shoot videos of baseball games, but it is a breeze to set up, take down and doesn't weigh me down. That being said, sometimes I worry that it may be to lightweight that it may blow over in a heavy gust of wind, but nothing happened yet.

I frankly don't know how they made this for $20. There is A LOT of aluminum in this thing. It's very ridged, which is good for tripod. The base is small so it's not super sturdy but I knew that getting into this. This problem is easily remedied with the included Bluetooth remote camera button. It has infinite adjust-ability, I'm absolutely thrilled with my $20. I bought it to start filming a silly internet show and I'm considering buying 2 or 3 more just for an extra camera and some microphone stands. It's heavy, comes with a carrying case, has a bluetooth camera button to pair with your phone or camera. Material alone, there is a significant amount of aluminum in this thing. There are no plastic hinges. The brackets are plastic but also very strong and ridged. Yeah, there are other stands out there but I cannot say enough good things about this stand for $20. I've seen $50-60 stands that were much lower quality than this. No, this will not hold your DLSR, but if you are looking for a mic stand or something cheap to hold a phone this is your guy.

This is a cheaply made product. It is very unsteady when extended more than half way up. I was hoping to use this to leave my hands open to take pictures l, but there is no way I will trust it.
