  • No more PopSockets for me!!!
After breaking multiple PopSockets over the years, I switched to Phone Loops about 3–4 years ago and haven’t gone back. I work on a boat, so dropping my phone isn’t just inconvenient—it can be expensive. I needed something more reliable, and these have been exactly that. What I love most is that the loop conforms to your hand instead of forcing your hand to conform to it. It feels more secure, more comfortable, and much less bulky than other phone grip options. Once adjusted, it becomes a custom fit that’s easy to use one-handed. They’re also surprisingly durable. The only wear I’ve noticed is that after about two years of daily use, the loop can start to stretch out a bit. Even then, it’s usually around the time I’m upgrading my phone anyway. For the amount of use they get, I think that’s completely reasonable. This particular design is also fun and adds some personality to my phone. If you’re tired of replacing broken phone grips, I highly recommend giving Phone Loops a try. ... show more

  • Love Phone Loops Love Phone Loops
Color: Fabric: Doggy
I’ve been purchasing from Phone Loops for some time now, and continue to love Phone Loops and purchasing them for almost every phone case that I purchase; so nothing made me happier than when they started selling on Amazon and offering Prime shipping. That meant being able to purchase a case locally, and having a Phone Loop for it within a day or two. Sometimes I’ll purchase cases from manufacturers that take a couple of weeks to ship; which in that case I would order directly from Phone Loops since they sell the Loops for less on their site, have more options, and will usually offer bundling discounts and free shipping when buying a few (just keep in mind that they ship from Canada and can take up to two weeks to arrive - so that’s where it’s worth paying a bit more for Prime). Anyways, as someone who takes a lot of pictures with my phone and who usually has a dog with me, these Loops have been true life savers (phone savers, really). Before Phone Loops I would end up dropping my smartphones and shattering the screens (or phone, if it was made of glass), so I heavily depended on either the warranty on the device for a repair/replacement and/or on having a big ugly and bulky phone case. There’s also all the times when I’ve been close to dropping my phone into water or off a cliff - no longer the case. With a loop on my phone case I’ve taken my phone on every hiking trip, jumped off planes (skydiving), taken it on rock climbing adventures, white water rafting, and other adventures without having to worry about dropping my phone. For those claiming that Pop Sockets are better, not going to argue with you, Pop Sockets are awesome and have saved me multiple times; but, I just find that with a Phone Loop I have a tighter hold on the phone. With a Pop Socket, I have dropped phones because of my dog pulling me; never with a Phone Loop. In fact, I have a Pop Wallet on one my cases (pictured), and that case also has a Phone Loop on it. With all that said, Phone Loops are not perfect, they have to be replaced every few months. I have never had one snap or lose the adhesive; but, like any fabric, they age and start looking old and dirty (you can see some aging on the pictures I posted). On a really thin case, or a case designed to tightly hold the phone, it may make it harder to get the phone into the case; but even with something as minimal as the carbon fiber LaterCase, I can still use a Phone Loop and snap the phone safely into the case - it’s just a matter of making sure that the Phone Loop does not overlap (the LaterCase is the center case in the images). Another con, is using it with clear cases, where the adhesive part can look a bit unattractive (as seen on the pictured cobalt case). There’s also the argument or making this at home and saving a lot of money, and that’s a legitimate point - you are paying for nothing more than a piece of ribbon with adhesive on it. Personally, as someone who just doesn’t have ribbon or adhesive sitting at home, and as someone not interested in buying more ribbon and adhesive than I need, I’m fine paying Phone Loops. As previously mentioned, I have never had their product snap, rip, or lose stickiness on me; so I trust whatever materials they are using over something I could use at home. Finally, they have some pretty cool designs, and if you visit they’re site they tend to introduce special designs throughout the year (not all make it on Amazon, unfortunately). I also just realized how much I’ve typed over a piece of sticky ribbon :-) ...so in short, highly recommend it, it’s a must if you do anything adventures (including dog walking), and it will save your phone!! ... show more

  • Failure in practice Failure in practice
Color: Fabric: Pride
I wanted this to work so bad. I wanted something new to use. I am tired of pop sockets and wanted something unique that was awesome looking, and functional. This is not it! One thing I assumed was this had at least a little stretch to it because it would NEED that to function.... It is not stretchy in the slightest. It is also thick when you consider that it has to attach to the inside of your case. (Which is form fitted to your phone not leaving room for much else.) They could have at least used a thinner ribbon so it can fit into the case. I have a silicone case for my phone which allows wiggle room. But the thickness of this ribbon made it impossible to fit back on my phone. It made my phone pop out of the case if I even put my pinky between the phone and ribbon. And I am supposed to be able to hold my phone by the entire ribbon! This is where it could really use some stretch. Even just a slight stretch! Also you can't adjust or trim the ribbon because of the adhesive. Man this could be a cool idea if it were executed differently. I did find an alternative to this ribbon. It's the same idea except it doesn't wrap around your phone. It's attached to a small plastic base that sticks to your phone. It's smart because it doesn't put any tension on the adhesive no matter how much I stretch it because the ribbon is not attached to the adhesive. There are better alternatives to this although I will say it isn't as aesthetically pleasing as this ribbon, it's still cute I just really like how it would look wrapped around my phone. Anyways when it comes down to it I paid over 10$ for like 8 inches of ribbon with 3M attached at each end. Think about that. Over 10$. And it doesn't even function. A limp, lifeless ribbon that has no home. I am hoping I can find another use for it, but I doubt I will. ... show more

  • A good Pop Socket alternative
Color: Fabric: Midnight
I was looking for something to replace my Pop Socket with so I could use wireless charging, and so I could hear/feel my phone buzz when I set it on my table at work. This looks like it will do the trick, because I was able to hear/feel my phone while it was on vibrate all day. I put it on so I could put two fingers in the loop, instead of one like the directions say to, and it feels a lot more secure. I'm able to hold my phone upside down without it falling off my fingers. Comfort wise, I use my first and middle finger in the loop, and then my ring finger rests below it, and my pinky is at the actual bottom of my phone, and I have noticed that my ring fingers start to cramp up and ache a little after a while, but comparatively I would get sore spots on my fingers where the plastic from the Pop Socket dug in. There is a little slack, unlike what is shown in the pictures, because of the room for my fingers. The tape feels strong and I'm not worried that it will come off. It was very easy to put on. I put it through one hole (fingerprint reader in my case) and stuck it down, put the other end through the charger hole and stuck it with tape until I got the "fit" the way I liked it. Then I stuck it down for real. I have seen reviews talking about it losing color at corners, and I have seen that too after two days. I got the loop in black, and it is not that the color is rubbing off, but that the ribbon is not woven with just the main color. Like mine the ribbon is woven with black showing, but white underneath. So when the ribbon is stretched around an edge, the other color shows through. I've seen this with other ribbon before. Not very attractive in my opinion, but not a deal breaker, and it's not noticable at first glance. Just wish the manufacturers had used ribbon that was woven with just the one color. I also thought about DIYing a phone loop from ribbon from the store because this really is a simple design, but I decided to buy this instead because I figured it would be better engineered/stronger. I believe that is the case, as it's industrial 3M adhesive and not just plain old Scotch double sided tape to keep it on. Plus the cost of tape + ribbon would be the same as just buying this. I would have rather paid $5 for this product because $10 feels a little sharp for a piece of ribbon and some nice adhesive. I don't know if it's repositionable, but I never have had good luck with repositioning any type of phone grip so I'd just assume it's not. Overall, I think it will do exactly what I need it to do, so I think it's pretty good. Very clever idea too. ... show more

  • LOVE this! Cheaper from seller's website.
Update 9/23/2020: I. Love. This. Loop! After using this loop for nearly a year, I have really been enjoying it. It's made my phone easier to hold with multiple activities: walking, playing games, hanging it on a public bathroom stall hook, watching videos when I can't set down/prop up my phone. I'd say the only downside is that the exposed ribbon gets pretty dirty (I sanitize it with a Clorox wipe, but it looks dirty). I just love that the back of my phone is flat (so I can see notifications at work without flipping my phone over) and it stays in the phone mount in my car). ----------------------------------- tl;dr Great! I would buy it again. I bought the Maldive/Blue Turquoise pattern for use with iPhone 11 and Otterbox Lumen case. This is my first PhoneLoop (previously known as Ninja Loop). I had a Loopy Case with my previous phone for four years which helped me not drop my phone, made carrying it easy, and was great for hanging my phone on the bathroom stall (instead of setting it down). I wanted a different solution that would allow me to set my phone on it's back (with the Loopy, I'd always set my phone face down and pick it up to check notifications). Also, I wanted my phone to stay securely inside of a car mount. I also hated how the silicon loops inside the case would make the case bulge from the back of the phone (makes it look like the battery is swollen/damaged). The PhoneLoop meets all of the above requirements. When I placed the PhoneLoop on a new (clean) case, I decided slotting it between the camera cutout and the right speaker cutout (straight up and down) gave it the least travel and least bulge on my case. I set one sticky side near the cutout, put one finger on the back of the case, and pulled the ribbon tight, sticking it down to the other side of the ribbon. When I fit the phone into the case, the ribbon was really tight. Over a week of use, the ribbon is the perfect tension. Holding the phone is much more natural in my left hand than using the Loopy Case. (I had the original right-handed Loopy Case and never bought the left one-because it was "good enough." I am right handed, but hold my phone in my left hand.) I give this product 4 stars because it is a piece of ribbon with 2 double-sided 3M tape. For this price, you can buy a roll of ribbon and a roll of Scotch double-sided tape and make your own. I didn't want to burn/glue the ends of the ribbon to prevent fraying and the re-position-able 3M tape costs more than the Scotch. If you're going to buy more than one, go to the seller's website. The product is $10 (double) here, but $5 on the site. Right now, you can buy 3 and get free shipping. I don't need 3 loops, and no one around me uses a case on their phone or wants a loop, so I just bought it here. There's more selection on the seller's website. So pricing and selection on Amazon from the seller is factored into my rating. ... show more

  • Works as expected, but not my favorite
Color: Fabric: Midnight
First off, I may have missed it in the descriptions, but I expected this to have some elasticity to it. It didn't. I have an iPhone 14 Pro. Installation issues: - You have to run the loop through the camera hole and one of the speaker holes. On some cases, the speaker hole on the right will be longer than the one on the left to match the holes on the phone. If so, the loop is too big to run through the smaller hole so you will have to run it through the hole on the right. This might make a difference if you are right or left-handed and where you want the loop in position with your hand. - Once you have one side stuck on and it looped though, the directions say something to the extent to put your hand through the loop like you would hold your phone, pull the loop tight, then stick the other side down. So that's what I did! However, the issue with this is once you stick your phone in the case it pushes down on the loop A LOT causing more tension in the loop. Luckily, I had a MagSafe wallet attached when I attached the loop so I was able to remove the wallet when I wanted to use the loop. I love that this is super flat and doesn't get in the way of using any MagSafe accessories. However, since it loops through one of the speaker holes, my case wouldn't fit properly around my phone in that area. After a week or so I also noticed it stretching around the areas it was coming out of the case. This may have to do with it being so tight and me trying to use it with the wallet attached. After a couple of days, I ended up taking it off. It didn't leave any residue on the inside of my case. It may work better with other cases or other phone models. Great potential! Just needs more tweaks to be perfect! ... show more

  • 10 Months and 0 Complaints
Color: Fabric: Flamingo
I bought this after having a lot of finger pain from popsockets and ring loops. I figured it was cheap, there was nothing to lose. I bought it back in 2023. First of all, I have never had any hand/finger pain from this AT ALL. I find I get to hold my phone in much more natural ways - I have small hands, and tend to buy the big versions of phones (typing this on an iPhone 15 Pro Max). I like that I can slip fingers from both hands behind it, or use just one finger, or have one under and one over to kind of “lock” it in place. I feel I have so many more options than any other holder. The color is definitely not as vibrant as it once was, but I have been HARD on this thing. My phone has fallen into mud, been in the back pocket of dark blue jeans, has come with me camping… so no complaints. The material has maybe stretched out a little since I first put it on, but there’s no fraying or rips or anything. But the big factor that has me writing a review for a phone accessory I got almost a year ago is the adhesion - I just got a new phone, and it would be a few days before a new loop could be delivered. I was trying to make it work with a popsocket and hated my life. I remembered that it was supposedly re-positionable but had low hopes, since I had had it stuck inside a phone case for almost a year. It came off the inside of the old case SO easily. I do have slightly longer fingernails, so it made it easy to get it peeling off, but I didn’t need to get a like metal credit card or break a nail to do it (looking at you, popskockets). It left NO residue at all. I was then able to easily re-adhere it to the new phone case and adjust it a few times to find the right fit, since the size of the phone was even bigger than my old one. Once I got it into place, I put the case back on my phone to test it, and the hold is just as strong as it was on the original installation! AND I did check, with the way I have it positioned at least, I can successfully MagSafe and it is able to charge! I didn’t do anything fancy to get it working, just put it on with a MagSafe case in a way that works for my hands (basically exactly as shown in the stock photo) and it works great. Also works when doing the charging built into a Tesla. 10/10. ... show more

  • Doesn't work with any case I have
I have a samsung galaxy s23 ultra. I have a variety of cases of various materials. I really wanted this to work, but ultimately I don't think it's going to. The strap is super comfortable for me and I love that I can attach it snugly so my phone is basically stuck to my hand if I want, lol, without having to use wrist or hand muscles to hold it as much. The issue I have is it's not thin enough. It makes the case bend and distort slightly, mostly at the bottom where there's not as much case material due to the cutouts. This cuts off the usbC port just enough to make it a pain to plug anything into it, and I worry that the tension being put downward there when something is plugged into it will strain the usbC port. It also makes whichever case I've tried not fit perfectly flush in general. Maybe there's a certain case that would be the perfect match for a phoneloop strap and not have any of these issues, but I don't currently own it and I don't know what it would be in order to look for it. Also the strap will pick up dirt pretty quickly - I didn't think about that until I started paying attention to all the different surfaces I put my phone down on that a quick sanitizing wipedown addresses. I started noticing myself being hyper aware about setting my phone down in my kitchen or bathroom so the strap didn't get wet, oily, food on it, etc, and I think I personally benefit mentally from not feeling a background hypervigilance about something like that haha. Gorgeous strap tho, nice sturdy material, and adhesive seemed like it might last a couple months! ... show more
