As a family we travel a lot. My husband is always needing to print out papers for work or for reference (it's not a whole lot, but enough). Don't get me wrong we truly appreciate the business areas that our wonderful stays have, yet my husband said it would be nice to have our own printer wherever or whenever we needed it (especially just using our phones). That's why when I saw this portable printer and read up on it, I had to order it. We love it! We didn't know what to expect with this little roll of paper we saw inside the printer, but hey, it works and get's the job(s) done. It doesn't require ink, which is a huge plus since no worries about leaks or messes as your traveling. Is it a Brother's Printer with dark quality printing?...no, but it seriously get's the printing job(s) done friends. Setting it up was not hard, not with the app or within the printer. Also love that it came with it's own charging cable (no head, so you will need one) and carrying case. Overall, we would definitely recommend if your constantly on the road/traveling. ... show more

This is a very portable and self sufficient device (nearly everyone has a mobile phone, right?). This device will really shine on the move. Utilizing thermal paper is a really smart way to dodge using ink. Plain text and simple documents will be the best printable items here. It has some trouble with shades / shading (see the attached image). Device setup was really easy. This uses the Phomemo app; I installed this on Android. It would be great if all the Phomemo devices utilized the same software (for instance, the M220 uses Print Master and this uses Phomemo). It looks like, thankfully on Windows, it utilizes the same software install for multiple models of Phomemo devices. I selected the right paper size, prepared the paper for loading (simply removing a sticker and placing the roll in between the roller stoppers and pulled a small piece through the feeder teeth), and ran through a document print directly from my phone. Print speed is acceptable, and with plain text or minimal graphics, this should work just fine for most. Any 'residue' on your thermal paper (you can see this on the full page, where the sticker was) will affect the print out, so make sure to store your papers somewhere safe! Even with mostly text (and some simple graphics), you can see where there's some failure to really punch up details (you can see this in the boxes on the second image), so your mileage may vary. If you can get this on sale, and you're looking for a mobile printing device that is inkless and has reasonable quality on mostly text documents, this device is a perfect niche item. ... show more
