  • Great toothbrush. Long lasting battery
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: Navy Blue
This toothbrush is great! I love it. My first experience with an electric toothbrush was an oral b one I bought at the grocery store because it was on sale. I actually really liked it and had it for years. My husband was talked into buying a different kind by our dentist after he had a root canal. He was a bit loopy so agreed to buy two of them and they were terrible. But he had already thrown our other ones out so this is what we were left with. I hated it but didn’t want to buy another one and waste the money. It died after every use. It was just the worst. I think it was called pro sys. I wouldn’t recommend them. Anyway I got off track. This Philips toothbrush is great. My teeth feel very clean after brushing. I like the different mode options, different brush head options and best of all the battery lasts so long! I went on a weekend trip with this toothbrush and didn’t bring my charger. I didn’t need it. Then I didn’t charge it for about 2 weeks after getting home and it was still working fine all that time! Finally it let me know it was time to charge it but I was impressed with how long the battery lasted. It will also alert you when it’s time to change the brush head. If you’re looking for a efficient toothbrush and not worried about apps and other bells and whistles so brushes come with this is a perfect choice. ... show more

  • Works Great. A Failure Resulted in a Free Warranty Replacement (Make sure you register) Via Chat...
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: White
My daughter came in and told me her toothbrush failed. I looked to see if I'd purchased an extended warranty, but none was available. As I looked at the $130-179 replacements, I noticed some reviews saying the Amazon warranty was only a few months--but that CVS would've sent a free replacment. I found the e-mail confirmation of registering from 27 months ago (there is a 30-month extended warranty included--at least in our case.) I contacted the chat line literally 6 minutes before closing on this Friday night--w/o much hope. Not only was "Aida Mae" impeccable in her service, but she led me through a few simple tests, and then determined that a free replacement needed to be sent out -- which was summarily-processed. There was no charge whatsoever. The tests involved de-activating the "Quick Start" feature. While the unit is charging, hold down the Power button for a few seconds until you hear a few beeps. The second test is asking whether the unit had been charged for 24 hours since the problem started (yes.) Next, I was asked to try the different cleaning modes, and to go through the 3 intensity levels--same result. Lastly, I was asked to change to a different brush head (still no different.) Like others, I've used Sonicare brushes for decades. My whole family except my 10 year-old uses them -- he has a competing, simpler brand, but will "graduate" to a Sonicare in due time. This 6100 model looks and acts identically to the 6500 models my wife and I use -- except ours came with the fancy travel case (which I've never used beyond just testing it out.) The 6100 works in the travel case, too. The sense of cleanliness is second-to-none. We use the C3 whitening heads on all of ours. Combined with a Wal-Mart pre-brush rinse, a water flosser, and Crest Clinical rinse, I get excellent dental reviews. When I use the Crest 3D White Professional Effects No Slip Whitestrips, my dental hygienist JUMPS BACK at the brilliance! This experience is based on the 6500, but I can't see any visual, mechanical, or operational difference with the 6100. ... show more

  • Hurry up and Buy!
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: Pink
Wow what a great toothbrush. Had it for 2 weeks so far and my teeth never felt cleaner! The brush reaches my wisdom teeth all the way in the back. Don’t let the price deter you, it’s soooo worth it. Also helping with my enamel care.

  • RDH Discusses Pros & Cons
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: White
After spending hours diligently researching the entire US electric toothbrush market, I chose this sonic Philips 6100 model. I would have also tried an ultrasonic toothbrush but found that most were “currently unavailable” and/or offered by small companies with service issues. Sonic and ultrasonic are different but are often confused in review articles, even in some written by “experts”. All of the current model Philips sonic toothbrushes operate with 31,000 brush strokes per minute, so they will all remove plaque and do an excellent job of cleaning. The sonic technology creates perceptible micro bubbles that circulate between teeth and below the gumline which assist in making my mouth feel extra clean. Various features are important to different users and influence pricing structure. Having been a hard brusher for much of my early life, the pressure sensor was theoretically one of the most important reasons that I chose this toothbrush. In my opinion, one has to press unreasonably hard while brushing to elicit the pressure sensor’s vibration change. So in its current version, I do not think this feature is realistically very helpful. The whitening feature is real, but people should realize that it is not intended to be a whitening treatment to change the actual shade of the teeth. It can help minimize / remove extrinsic stains from coffee, wine, etc if used appropriately. For me, an important positive not usually mentioned is that this toothbrush will lie stably on its side on a flat surface vs rolling around. So if you want to lay it on a countertop and apply toothpaste, it will stay in position and not roll over, spilling toothpaste. The finish is rather slick, and it can be hard to keep a grip at times. The addition of a rubberized grip strip could be an improvement. I wrapped a rubber band around the handle which is tempering the problem. Overall, this is an excellent toothbrush with quad pacer timer, 3 intensity levels, Smart Brush technology and a brush change reminder. ... show more
