The Philips Norelco OneBlade Intimate is hands down the best shaver I’ve ever bought. I have very sensitive skin, and most trimmers or razors usually leave me with irritation, redness, or razor bumps. This one doesn’t. It’s extremely gentle, yet still gives a close and smooth shave. The skin-protection design actually works, no nicks, no burning, and no discomfort. It feels safe and easy to use, even in sensitive areas, which is something I’ve always struggled with before. The Philips Norelco OneBlade Intimate is a real game changer. Shaving down there can be one of the scariest things to do, and after some trial and error with other shavers and trimmers, I came across this one and was highly impressed. Below are some key points, along with a few pros and cons for anyone who might be hesitant about purchasing it like I was. PROS SAFETY This is probably the most important factor. After multiple uses, I can confidently say this trimmer has not nicked or cut me once. It has a slightly slower motor compared to other trimmers, which helps prevent hair from being pulled. I was very impressed with this, and compared to other shavers and trimmers I’ve used, this one really stands out. When I use it, I don’t have to worry about hurting myself. EASE OF USE The small, slim, and simple design makes it very easy to maneuver. It’s comfortable to hold and the flexible 360 blade makes shaving much easier, especially in harder-to-reach areas. FUNCTIONALITY Some people might see this as a downside, but I actually consider it a benefit. Because the motor runs a bit slower, you may have to go over certain areas more than once to get all the hair. However, this is exactly what helps reduce the risk of cuts. Personally, I’d much rather spend a little more time shaving if it means avoiding injuries. CON’S BATTERY The battery is the only downside I’ve noticed. After one full use, I usually need to charge it again, and shaving body hair can take some time. That said, considering the compact size of the device, this is somewhat expected. As long as you remember to put it on the charger after using it, you shouldn’t have any issues. REPLACEMENT BLADES. The replacement blades are a bit expensive, so that’s something to keep in mind. Philips recommends replacing the blade every 4 months, but this really depends on how often you shave and how much you use the trimmer. Consideration I didn’t list this as a pro or a con because it depends on your situation. Some people choose to purchase the skin-protect blade separately instead of buying the entire trimmer. You can attach the blade to a compatible Philips Norelco OneBlade handle you may already own. However, keep in mind that the motor included with the Intimate version is intentionally slower to help prevent cuts. I was in the same situation since I already had a compatible trimmer, but I decided to buy this version specifically because it is designed to be safer. Ultimately, the choice depends on your personal preference. Overall Overall, I’m very impressed with the Philips Norelco OneBlade Intimate. It offers great value for the money if you’re looking for something that is easy to use, safe, and reliable. Perfect personal groomer, worked well for me as a woman, can’t speak on its effectiveness for the other parts. Shaves down shockingly close and was not painful or difficult to use. Shaved without cutting or nicking myself even once. It’s even able to reach that annoy bit of hair at the top of the butt crack. Somewhat loud but not as bad as most trimmers. Seems easy to travel with and it even came with a blade cover. However, I wish that the charging cable was more universal like a USB-C. Dreading the day I lose that cord. ... show more
