The media could not be loaded. Update Feb 5,2023 just got new lights if canned the pictures show location of serial #. I like this so I can turn lights on away from home Also to change light tone warmer for movie night. Brighter for other things. I am very happy with them. Still working. Warning be careful I bought 2 that will not go to warm white. but dim-able. I have attached a video for anyone who with any Philips light has dropped out of system and will not auto detect. this is how to add it manually to Philips hue app., Which in turn will help add it to Alexa. but to manually add to Alexa it is the same principle If you have a wiz connect Philips light it will not manual go into wither Alexa or Hue it requires an app called wiz app. I had changed my mind and tried using them. They look fine but I don't wish to have another app. so I am replacing them. If you wish to use the hue app. I recommend using the wiz version unless you already have the wiz app ... show more

These lights are my new favorite thing! The brightness is wonderful until it's compared to the actual sun. I mostly keep my curtains closed. The default app's settings are very simple and only take several minutes to explore and get used to. I saw some reviews before I purchased about how much of a pain it was to use with Alexa. I don't know what they were on about! I screwed mine in together, and she immediately recognized them, but I missed her prompt to connect them to her. Ahh! Minor panic. I said jokingly, not wanting to look up the instructions, "Alexa? Do you sense any smart lights around?" "I do. Philips Smart Hue lights. Would you like to add them?" Crisis averted! Technology is honestly so amazing. As far as having Alexa control them when I ask her, it's been a game changer. As someone with movement difficulty, sometimes it's not an option to get back up and walk back to the light switch if I forgot to turn it on or off. This has saved me so much time and pain! I definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone! I'll be grabbing another pair as soon as I can afford. 💛💡 ... show more

    • Smart bulbs, you get what you pay for
I started my smart home a few years ago and Phillips Hue was my first purchase into verbal commands. It wasn't terrible to set up. It was pricey compared to other bands, but the customer and expert reviews were excellent. So I purchased a Hue hub and 4 bulbs. They started burning out after almost 3 years, so I went to order more and cheaper ones popped up. They worked for a week and wouldn't stay connected. I returned them and paid a bit more for Hue bulbs and I'll never go back to the bargain bulbs. ... show more

Very very cool lightbulbs. I'm going to buy a bunch more and set them up all over my house. Tons of different white light options, highly customizable via the app. I'm obsessed with them. you do need one of the hubs to do alexa integration, but on their own, they work with the app and bluetooth very well. The software app is easy to use and the bulbs work great. Eliminates the need for dimmer switches. You can turn on the lights from anywhere, making it look like you are home. Amazing technology.
