The media could not be loaded. We have all Hue lights in our house and love the ecosystem, so adding these strip lights under our floating TV stand was a natural choice. They pair seamlessly with our existing setup, and we use the Hue Sync Box to control the lights, syncing them with whatever is on the TV when we watch movies. These strip lights add a lot to the overall ambiance and make the viewing experience more immersive. The lights were easy to set up and pair with the rest of our system, and I also found them simple to cut down to the desired size. The length is great for most applications, providing enough coverage for our needs. However, there are a few downsides. When running at full brightness, the strip lights can get a little warm, which can cause the adhesive on the back to become gummy. Over time, this can make the lights detach from where they’re stuck. Also, the price is quite high for what they are. While I understand it's a premium product, I feel the cost is a bit steep. Despite these minor issues, I’m overall very happy with them and have several of these strip lights throughout the house. They integrate perfectly into the Hue ecosystem and truly enhance the lighting in our home. ... show more

I really like Hue lights, they work great with my zigbee network and have none of the issues I have with other zigbee products. I'm using these with a Conbee 2 stick and home assistant. They pair up almost instantly, never have dropout issues, and I rarely have any problems with them. Every now and then I'll have to send a command twice, but not enough were I have to build duplicate commands in to my automations in home assistant. That being said for the first time ever I'm taking a star off of a Hue product. The reason being that while Hue lights are great, and have very good color reproduction, other companies are catching up. In a vacuum the price is worth it, but once you start taking a look around the smart light ecosystem the price starts to not be worth it. Govee makes just as good/better wifi light strips, and Govee is much brighter. That's just one example, there are plenty more out there. I have just about one hue light per room of my house, so I'm invested in the brand. However in the coming years I'm going to start shopping around. Philips needs to make some improvements to the light strips, and not focus so much on how to sell customer data through the Hue Hub. **in regards to the hue hub, don't use it, it's not good and won't work without an internet connection, which is ridiculous ... show more

Philips Hue is worth the money. Govee/Lifx are good alternatives but they just don't have as good of color accuracy. If you plan to bend these, say around a pegboard, buy the litcessory v4 connectors. Cut at the ✂️ marking and attach.

Closet installer quoted nearly a thousand dollars for built in lighting. Nope! For less than $100 I set up this light strip and paired it to a Philips switch. Works great. Plenty of light. Easy to install.

This product is very annoying. The hub side connector is not the same size at the connector at the end of the strip so you need an adapter to go from "hub" to "strip extension"???!!!???? See Photo showing the two ends of the strip next to each other. Who designed this trash? Additionally, there are no "first party" extension or adapters so you are very constrained to a single straight line and you better have room for the controller withing a few inches of your LED strip start. You have to buy parts from a 3rd party. These are VERY overpriced, I spent $38 for 2 splitters and 2 3m extension for my setup. That's on top of a $50 price for the strip itself and I can't find the hub to strip adapter... If it wasn't for the practicality of having this paired over Zigbee I would just return the whole setup. Unfortunately, IKEA has not figured out how to make a good LED strip yet... IKEA is the best for affordable Zigbee products, they just work and are unbeatable value! ... show more

New to the light strip era. I’ve been on the smart era for around 5 years now, Just recently started tinkering with the Phillip light category, I’m still an mediocre investor in this project, But I’ve learned quite a deal, With the extension methods, I didn’t have any luck cutting it, and then trying to reconnect, I was able to get the extension cable they make work, But it worked really wonky for about 1 year. The light strip was always one color, (and the extension would always be another color) To prevent this, I recommend plugging in all the extensions first, prep your area, where the light strip will go with a double sided adhesive. Get your ladder ready if needed, and reaching stick if installing this via 1 person, And it should make it a “measures ton easier” To get this thing mounted, and situated in a permanent position, that can easily be removed if need be, for lease or anything. This product goes into depth, you can sink it with your desktop, To mimic your gaming experience. It doesn’t just do all the work, straight out of the box, it does require some doctoring, Feel free to call your local tech, Keo ... show more
