This soundbar is well built, and much higher quality than other soundbars I’ve tried in this price range. Frankly, unless you have unlimited budget, I would start and stop my search right here. As I saw in other reviews, my first toe-in-the-water moment was with Too Gun: Maverick. The sound produced by this thing sounds like a surround studio 5.1 or 7.1. The fact that this is a 3.1 with Atmos takes it up a notch so that other similar soundbars simply can’t compete. The bass rumbles. It is really cool to have a theater-like experience in the living room! I cannot recommend this enough! Set up is really easy. My TV is an LG, but it has no trouble with compatibility. Set it up as a pass through and no matter whether I’m streaming, watching OTA, or BluRay, the remote I’m using can control the sound. As others have mentioned, the remote is of high quality build, and you have many different options for types of sound, as well as an independent control for the subwoofer. My wife prefers the Voice Enhancing setting. While it does blunt the bass some, there is still a very strong bass to be felt. My preference is the Movie setting. It maximizes the Atmos experience and the bass explodes, and you feel like you’re watching at a theater, but in your own recliner. I highly recommend this soundbar. ... show more

I got this on sale and couldn't be happier, for the price. The sub produces excellent bass and dialog is very crisp. It gets VERY loud, too. It worked but wasn't perfect using my TV's Bluetooth, so I ran it via HDMI and haven't had any issues. My Fire stick recognized it immediately on plugging in and I didn't have to do any extra setup to control it with my remote! I was easily able to connect my phone for music and the sound is very good there, as well, with excellent balance. ... show more

After owning this soundbar for 3 months, it did have a lot of connectivity issues. Due to this, it required me to reboot the soundbar multiple times until it stopped skipping over audio. However, last month, Phillips dropped a new update and that fixed basically every connectivity problem I've experienced. So there's no longer any audio cutouts no matter which HDMI cord you use (I've tested this with all cords I had available) Now I can turn it on without feeling like the audio is gonna cut out soon. I must though, it's better if you use custom settings and NOT the preset settings (movie, stadium, voice, and etc), and customized the frequencies. If you prioritize where you can hear the voice clearly first, the music and sound effects can be adjusted after and you'll have the sound you are looking for or aka the best sound you can get out of this soundbar. The bass is a bit heavy where voices sound muddled, so adjusting the subwoofer and going lowest frequency that covers the bass helps there. Great for small rooms, but larger rooms, look elsewhere (I'd suggest 3.1 channel or higher for larger rooms). I bought the soundbar for my bedroom and it works well. For $200 or less (mine was around $196 after taxes), this is amazing for the price. Wouldn't pay more than $250 though let alone the $400 retail price tag. ... show more

Almost 2 months later, I completely regret not returning this piece of junk. It's not loud, it's constantly disconnecting from Bluetooth, Google cast, and Roku seamless integration. Complete waste of money. DO NOT BUY. The extra "features" don't work. Your money is better spent elsewhere. ___________________ Old review: Decent, but not any better than one I bought 5 years ago for the same price. Keeps losing connection and isn't much louder than my Bluetooth speakers. Not worth more than $100 new. ... show more

The sound quality was very good. Other than that, this product sucked. It would never turn on properly with the TV. Always had to get up and grab the sound bar remote to turn it on. Honestly just very inconvenient compared to my last sound bar. I’ll be sticking with LG or Samsung for all my soundbar needs ... show more

I hate to write this review because I really loved this sound bar while it lasted. I purchased it in June of 2024 and in May of 2025 it quit working. Occasionally it will work for a few seconds and then quit. I tried the factory reset and it didn't help. I wish I would have purchased the protection plan. Great sound bar while it lasts. I'm sad I have to pick a new one which isn't easy. This is the second Philips sound bar I've purchased because I have a Philips TV. Think I'll try a different brand this time with the protection plan. ... show more
