We have had these for some time and so far they have performed flawlessly. They have survived multiple temperature changes and weather as well as the big ice storm this January. They were very easy to put together. They put out more light if they are fully charged than what you think. With full charge they last all night. They are just barely glowing when I leave for work in the morning while it's still dark. Which means they turn on at about 5:00 p.m. and they are still on at 5:30 in the morning when I leave, just not at full brightness. They were a great value for how much they cost and we really do hope they last a long time. ... show more

Excellent lights and stay on all night. The only down side was the length of the tube that connects the light to the ground; for me way too long. Being made of aluminum I used my Dremel rotary cutting wheel and reduced the size to 3", which keeps the lights closer to the ground. Now I have extra aluminum tubes that will probably come in handy for other things. The lights themselves are perfect! ... show more

Exactly what I was looking for. Easy installation, but note that spikes are plastic so soften ground before driving them in. Lighting is great with a wide throw, but not too bright. At 4am they were still on, so the solar function is working great. I liked the 8 pack so much, I bought 8 more.

newer sidewalk lights are smaller that previous. i switched to these when the chinese sourced ones became obsolete. i have about 200 yds of steep uphill in the woods acess roads with these lights spaces at 20 ft. i am favorably impressed by these philips. longer advertised battery life. the lights hang upside down protecting the electronics from moisture. a simple on-off switch inside the housing. reflector at bottom to spread light. the mounting tubes are aluminum, not plastic. big deal here in winter where plastics become brittle like glass. only the spike is plastic. shorter, maybe 5 inches so need to plant in solid ground. very good buy. ... show more
