  • Light and Easy Set Up
Size: 24" FHD
【Delivery】 I got the monitor quickly. It was scheduled for two weeks later but delivered on within 4 days. Amazon did a great job and I am very happy!! The box is in great condition - meaning not stressed - good sign. 【Contents】 There is a VGA cable and HDMI cable included. The power is a power brick using propriety connector. It doesn't feel warm at all when using. This translates to either efficient AC/DC conversion and/or very little electricity draw. 【Aesthetic】 It's truly close to frameless. The frame is so thin that it's almost like it's not there. It's right next to my Acer K242HYL (24" LCD) acquired last year at Staples, the frame on the Acer is 3 times thick compared to the Philips. The left part of the monitor panel kinds out of place. I just pressed it in with very light pressure and it snaps back into place. 【Hook Up】 The monitor is super light. I can lift the screen with one hand and feel confident that I will not topple it or drop it. It's very easy to hook up. Connect power cable to the brick, power brick to the monitor, HDMI cable to the monitor / PC, hook the power to the wall last. The power button is in the center back - directly in the back of the Philips logo. It's the joystick style of control you find in the old IBM (Lenovo) notebook. It's actually easier to use than the many buttons you need to press on the other monitors. 【Set Up】 I am on Windows 10 Pro. I plug it in and it just works - not a problem. I adjust it to 75Hz refresh rate - verified by checking my video card - but couldn't see a difference as a general usage monitor. I haven't had a chance to game on it so I can't tell how well it will work. The important thing is that the text is very crisp. My aging eyes doesn't complain as much. There are four levels on the eye protection, call low blue, 5 levels on Gama and the other normal changes you can make. I rejected the ideas of low blue but this actually works very well - it doesn't tint / blur / dull the display. Update 2021.02.14 - I can no longer set the refresh rate to 75Hz after a few Windows updates. I am not sure if there is an adjustment in hardware I did mess it up or was it Windows. Will investigate further when time allowed. Update 2021.0218 - I visited Philips web site & download their driver & "Smart Control" software. Neither allows me to change refresh rate to 75Hz. 【Adjustment from Windows】 If you are seeing blury text, Windows 10 allows me to adjust sharpness of the text from two places. One is from PC Setting, type "Adjust ClearType text" in the search box and go through the steps from the app. Another place is from Control Panel \ System and Security \ Security, click on Change settings (in the middle of the right edge). A "System Properties" dialog pops up. Click on the 3rd tab, "Advanced", click on settings inside "Performance". The dialog "Performance Options" comes up. Select "Custom", click on the 3rd option from the bottom, "Smooth edges of screen fonts" if not already selected. 【Annoyance】 Initially, right after hook up, Windows select Philips as the default speaker even though it has no speaker nor did I connect any speaker to it's 3.5 mm output. I hear no sound and I realized the default must have changed. I then fiddle with it just want to try out how it works to get audio from it. It's OK, not as loud as from my sound port directly from my motherboard so I switched back to my PC and all is well since then. ... show more

  • Solid product. Current noise.
Size: 22" FHD
It's a solid choice at this price range. There are two issues I'm not happy about: the control is at the back and is counter intuitive, and there is current noise when is off (I think it is the small led light).

  • AMAZING monitor, one of my best purchases. Do not peal the plastic from the stand?
Size: 24" FHD
This new monitor improved my workflow as an illustrator a lot! I come from a 15" laptop with mediocre color accuracy so this new screen with amazing colors and a reasonable size has come in handy for sure, I also use it for gaming and all I can say is that it is all I could have wish for (I don't play competitive games of course, so 60hz through HDMI is more that enough). Now my only complaint and the reason for four stars only is that when I was peeling the plastic covers from the product, the one on the stand ripped the paint off and now it looks pretty bad. I obviously never see the back of the monitor but it is a bummer that it looks that way *I have attached pictures for all of the points above ... show more

  • Good monitor
Size: 27" FHD
This review is for the Philips 276E8VJSB 27" Monitor, 4K UHD model. I originally bought the Philips 276E9QDSB 27" 1080p FHD monitor and wound up returning it because although the picture quality was good the viewing angle was horrible. The red saturation was over the top as well. On top of that, the particular one I got had several random blemishes on the sides and back of the monitor. It almost seemed like it was a refurbished monitor repackaged and presented as a new item. I went ahead and bought the 276E8VJSB 27" Monitor, 4K UHD model and it was a very good decision. The difference in picture quality and clarity between the 1080p FHD and 4k UHD model is significant. The viewing angle on the 276E8VJSB is very good (much better than the 1080p FHD model) and the colors are deep and vibrant. I was initially concerned that a 27" would be too small for 4k but so far the scaling in Windows 10 has worked like a charm. I have it set to 200% which presents icons and text the same as 1080p, but, with MUCH better clarity. Text and fonts look great and it puts less strain on my aging eyes. You don't see any rough edges or pixels at any distance. I had to tweak a few things, like the dpi settings (right click>properties>compatibility>change DPI settings>high DPI scaling override> check system enhanced box) for a few individual programs here and there but it took all of five minutes of my time. I still play games at 1080p and they look fine. If there's blurring I don't notice it, so I don't care. One thing I will say, there's a decent amount of IPS glow with these monitors and I did return a second 276E8VJSB because it had excessive IPS glow and bleeding on two corners. And like the 27" 1080p I returned it also had several scratches and blemishes on the back even though the box was sealed with Phillips tape and all the protective wrap was on the monitor. Starting to wonder as I mentioned earlier if some of these are refurbished and re-boxed as new. I decided to just keep the original 276E8VJSB I bought, it had the best screen out of the ones I tried. ... show more
