  • Nice for the price
Style: Curved 32" Gaming Pattern: Monitor
I just received my Sceptre 32 inch monitor a few days ago and so far I'm loving it. I'm not an expert on this stuff but I'll give my thoughts. It came safely packaged in the factory box (see pic) which was in an even larger Amazon box. The Amazon box was a bit too big actually, as you could feel the actual monitor box moving around, but I was happy to find nothing had been damaged. Attaching the stand was easy, and came with the screws and screwdriver needed. *Read the manual first, as it states you should keep the monitor face down in the styrofoam when you attach the stand (which I did) to avoid any damage.* I hooked it up and tested it with my PS4. My new laptop hasn't arrived yet so I can't speak to how it looks with connected to a PC, but it looks great on the console. One of the better 1080p displays I've seen. The menu buttons are easy enough and the picture is crisp. Movie mode is the best looking option but it also has FPS & RTS modes for gaming, which reduces the sharpness but it's supposed to make enemies more visible in dark places and be more responsive. You can also customize these settings to your preference. The speakers, while not the best sounding I've heard, are actually pretty loud. I don't need to go much higher than 10-15. They do the job and you're probably not getting one of these for the sound quality anyway. You can use the audio jack in the back for your headset. I can actually notice better response time while playing some games online. The graphics on NBA 2K look much better than the old flat screen I was using lol and I really enjoy the way the curve gives that little extra feeling of immersion when you're sitting directly in front. I love the fact that this monitor can get up to 185 Hz. While my current console can only do 60FPS, the next gen consoles will reportedly get up to 120, so this monitor is future proof as far as that goes. Again, I haven't received my new laptop yet so I can't speak to the AMD FreeSync capabilities on this monitor or how the response time feels when PC gaming. (I did see a comment from the manufacturer that this is also G-Sync compatible so if that's true, it should be able to work with Nvidia cards as well) One thing I don't like is the blue light filter only goes up to 30%. The feature itself is nice, and I use the one on my phone every day (it's set to come on at 11pm daily) but the fact you only have 3 percentages on this one is a little dissapointing. Nothing too serious though. Also, the FPS mode really sacrifices picture quality to get you the "better visibility and response time". It's unfortunate I'll probably never use it because the picture looks so washed out and distracting when it's engaged. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and have not noticed any backlight bleeding or screen tearing on my games or any problems at all. I wanted a monitor bigger than a 24 without sacrificing too much picture quality but also not breaking the bank. This was it. For the price, it's a great buy. I had a couple Amazon gift cards saved, so this basically only cost me the $49 plus tax. I'll take that every day of the week. ... show more

  • READ IF YOURE A REAL GAMER
Style: Curved 32" 185Hz Pattern: Monitor
Everyone talking about how “they take great care of it” and it breaks or whatever. Taking good care of a monitor is putting it in a monitor stand and putting it in a good position and NEVER touching it. Your computer should automatically turn on the monitor. DO NOT BUY THIS ID YOU ARENT USING A PC. Simply because ps5 and Xbox can only handle 60 fps and 100 hz and this is 240hz. Only 0.5% of the world can see over 170hz anyways and I’m one of the rare people that CAN actually notice the difference. Anyways this monitor is so good that I actually just bought my second one today so I can have both of them next time each other and my 24 inch sceptre monitor above them for discord. Also just to let you know. All these people talking about it breaking and it being taken care of is LYING. My grandma when I was 14, bought a sceptre monitor 40 inches and I made her buy it and I’m 21 now and the monitor is still in perfect condition. So perfect I actually tried to trade her my smaller monitor for it and she said no. The monitor is good for gaming, most of you guys probably don’t even have a DP port on your PC and 100% not on a console. Or even know how to “unlock your monitor” and make it run at 240hz. But when you do look it up since you just read this review then you’ll be using your monitor to its full potential. It’s nice and big, a little too big actually it’s like I’m at the movies because this monitor also has a 3D feature that works with “ray bands meta glasses” it’s dope. Why’d I buy a second one you ask? Because I’m a god dang GAMER. If you’re just starting ACTUAL PC gaming then sceptre is your best bet until you finish your gaming room and PC upgrades. Then buy a OLED monitor for $1,000 then buy another 2 of them because, well… you’re a gamer. Right? Basically what I’m trying to say if you just buy this, take it out the box, put it on a monitor stand and NEVER touch it again after you get everything set up. It should last you at least 7 years. Everyone talking about how this $200 monitor is “expensive” get your money up lil bro. $200 for a better than decent monitor is CHEAP. It’s 2025 brother… if you don’t have $200 to drop on 1 monitor and you’re a PC gamer???? First you’re gonna need ATLEAST another 2 monitors. So if you think this is expensive, you SHOULDNT BE PC GAMING. Take your self back to Xbox lmaoooo. All in all, if you’re just starting PC gaming this is 100% the monitor to get. If you get ASUS monitors that’s cool too, but anything that isn’t sceptre or ASUS, You’re actually trolling yourself. Make sure after you get 1 of these, buy another one a little later. And then DO NOT GET A CURVED MONITOR FOR YOU DISCORD MONITOR. Get a 27.5 inch flat sceptre monitor. The curved monitors for discord SUCK. ... show more

  • I'm impressed!
Style: Curved 32" 185Hz Pattern: Monitor
I'd find it very difficult to be able to locate a better monitor at this price point. The refresh rate is high and the resolution is good enough. This is a solid monitor for being sub $200. This is my main monitor for gaming and then I have a very hi-rez monitor for productivity. Together they are perfect. Highly recommend this. ... show more

  • Much nicer than I though
Style: Curved 32" 185Hz Pattern: Monitor
This was very easy to set up. Looks well made and next day shipping was nice. Haven't run it through its paces yet but the one game I did load looked excellent with the 120hz refresh rate. I will update the review if any problems arise. Oh and it is a lot bigger than it looks in the photos. I knew it was a 32 in but good lord it's a beast. Kinda makes me wish I got a 4k one. But for 229 I can't complain at all. X2 hdmi ports and x2 display ports...plus built in speakers for when u want want to use buds or a headset. A+ Update 5/8/24 no problems at all and it is a excellent gaming monitor. Will do nicely till I upgrade to a 4k one. Also I highly recommend a display port to HDMI adapter so u can use 240hz on console. Makes a huge difference. Very good quality and performance for an off brand. ... show more

  • great for price, horrible speakers
Style: Curved 32" 185Hz Pattern: Monitor
Good monitor. It has a great picture and I enjoy the blue-light filtering it offers. However, the speakers are no better than you'd find on an on-board sound card speaker. Works well watching movies and tv shows as well as gaming. If you are considering putting this on a monitor stand, keep in mind that the mount connects to the bottom of the monitor, not in the middle. ... show more
